Day 46: range night. Hit balls for about 40 minutes, working on my priority pieces in the backswing and early downswing. Focused more on the backswing stuff after filming and seeing it was sloppy. Then putted for about 45 minutes. Worked on putts within 10 feet mostly but mixed in some longer putts at the end.

Day 123 (02 Sep 24)  -  Grandson wanted to hit some into the net with the winner being the one who hit the target inside the net the most.  He beat me by one (wink, wink).  Then some around the yard stroke pkay using foam balls…he had his distance control happening, beat me two out of three holes.  After he and his dad left, I worked on “on course” shot rehearsals - from stepping behind the ball to “see the target” line, to getting feet parallel to the target line and making a solid swing thru the ball that culminates with the pop of the ball in the target.

ProSendr drills to stop my collapsing trail arm. Finished with chipping using the ball attached to the ProSendr and pressed into lead wrist. Good for chipping.

Day 4: 9/2/2024

Today I worked on my backswing and takeaway in front of the mirror. It's all slow motion stuff. 7-iron mostly. But I also did some no club stuff, club across the collarbone stuff, and even got the PVC Pipe involved.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 124 (03 Sep 24) -  Full swing drills today with the longer irons and hybrid…as this was the backyard, stayed with hard foam balls in a pretty stiff N-NE breeze.  Able to work on flighting the ball down into the wind and then working the ball with the wind to the target point.

Day 5: September 3rd, 2024.

Got to the range today. Mostly work on my start line. Also made it a point to hold my finish on everything today. I did some work on the driver. Basically trying to hit imaginary fairways. Then I did a bunch of target practice.

Day 126 (05 Sep 24) - walked the front nine at home course with the “vintage set” (Toney Penna persimmon 1-3-5 woods, MacGregor Mike Souchak 4-9 irons along with. MacGregor Dbl Duty wedge, Spalding KroFlite SW, Spalding Tournament putter).  Played from my regular tees and managed a +7 43.  Key to the day was focused course management and remembering just how small the sweet spot is on all these clubs….love the challenge and dig the rewards of playing these clubs.

    • Day 27 (17 July 26) - Normally an 18 hole day, but due to commitments abbreviated the round to 9 holes (played the back nine at home course).  Had a solid session where even the worst miss (tee shot off 18) was fully playable.  Shot a solid 39 (6pars, 3bogies) - not dbls, no three putts - just boring golf.
    • Overall, well said. People have to be very careful in trying to describe very complex problem in simple terms. In this case, it is a clear fundamental misunderstanding of Newton's 1st and 3rd laws.  To clarify more on the misinterpretation of Newton's 1st law. The exact interpretation of Newton's 1st Law....  "Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it" yea, a body will stay motionless unless a force acts upon it. An object will stay on its path of motion unless a force acts upon it.  I get it, complex physics problems are difficult. There is a lot of simplification done in most physics class when it is taught. A classic problem uses a frictionless surface. Projectile motion excludes drag and wind direction. Collisions are usually elastic. The golf swing is not a simple physics problem.  Yea, I think they got caught up the data on the graphs and are not truly understanding cause and effect.  If the golfer isn't first pushing into the ground, then the ground isn't going to push back.  The internal forces of the body create the motion, not the external forces from the ground. The ground isn't like what Psy uses to start his concert. 🤣 You probably need to be connected to the ground and have those GRF to help the body produce the motion you want. Your body has to move in the right way to produce the GRF which helps you move the body in the way you want. Body motion precedes the GRF.

    • I think that's mostly about lowering the CG. 🙂
