Day 214: did a stack session.

Day 12: 2/18/2025

Actually got to the range today. Hit some balls with my new priority pieces. Basically I rotated between sort of stop motion swings where I'd try to hit each of the positions I wanted and pause briefly. Then I'd do a slow-motion version where I wouldn't actually stop, just slowly pass through the position. Then I'd try to make a smooth 80% type swing.

Day 29 (19 Feb 25) - Winter storm in place (here it's cold icy rain), inside day today - started with mirror work and 8i - working on weight shift sequence using shortened swing (backswing to P3) and coming through to P8.  Focused on sensing the shift to the lead foot as I get toward P3 and then coming through smoothly.  Followed up those series of rehearsals with some easy lag putts working to equalize backswing length with downswing finish to 3' - 5' - 8' distances.

Weight shift drills followed by full swings.

Went back to the mirror today. Trying to make sure the balls I hit at the range yesterday were still being hit with my new priority piece in the right place. Looked okay. I even took out my driver and worked on swinging that. Perhaps, I may hit some more balls tomorrow. 

We shall see.

Day 142 - 2025-02-19

Had 45 minutes after some GEARS lessons and before a junior. Got some good work in.

Day 215: just some mirror work. Worked on earlier wrist hinge in the backswing.

Day 30 (20 Feb 25) - Pretty much a repeat of yesterday’s drills - work on the weight shift working from arms parallel thru impact back to parallel.  Ended with some rolls of the putter

Day 14: 2/20/2025

Got back to the range today to work on my priority pieces. 

I got to put up a mirror right in front of me to practice in slow-mo, then swing in slow-mo. Then practice swing in slow-mo and a real swing in sort of middle speed.

Worked on chipping a lot with another student.

Day 216: mirror work again today. Worked on the same backswing stuff. Earlier wrist hinge.

Long GEARS session with an Evolvr student. Went well. Stayed after to work on some full swing stuff myself.

Putting for distance control tonight.

Day 31 (21 Feb 25) - Weather cooperates (around 40 for midday high), sun shining - worked with the 7i in the backyard hitting hard foam balls.  Worked with keeping the arms more fully extended in the backswing and finishing likewise.  Some of the most consistent ball striking of late - was neat seeing the balls exhibit tight groups.

Day 32 (22 Feb 25) - Got in some wedge work with the 58° in the backyard before heading to a noon band rehearsal.  It’s the weakest part of my wedge game, so figured it would be good to work on distance control for a few minutes - varied the distances and lies from 5yds out to about 25yds.  Nice little drill session to kick off the day.

Putting through50 mm gates weight shift drills. Playing tomorrow, and will see how I do.

7-7 today at Golf Evolution. Managed to sneak in some work while waiting for dinner when I got home, though.
