Day 82 (22 Jul 25) - played our church men’s group captains choice nine hole this evening.  Had a blast working green side shots with the wedges.  Love the format as I play a nine club bag which brings on shot creativity in a fun way.

Day 295 - 2025-07-22

Played 18 holes with @DrizZzY. Still salty about the tee ball on 15. f***ing hole. 😛

Day 6: Worked on adding some load to the putter hitting putts right hand only then finished with the gate drill.

Day 296 - 2025-07-23

Got a good hour+ of work in after a few lessons on my off day today. 😉 Recorded some, had mirrors in both places FO/DL. Same stuff, but made sure the right knee was fine.

Day 83 (23 Jul 25) - Worked on the middle irons with the 7i and hard foam balls in the backyard using magnetic alignment rod along with rod on the ground to work on face position at impact.   Toggled between rehearsal with magnetic rod in place and hitting foam balls.

Day 7: Had a virtual putting lesson with @iacas. Spent some time afterwords working with the metronome.

Day 84 (24 Jul 25) - Weekly nine hole round cancelled as the course was tied up with a ladies tournament.  No worries - set up with the 54deg wedge and worked on varied shots with green side focus in mine (those nGIR's).  Worked between high floaters and low spinners from varied lies replicating the types of lies I typically see on the courses around here.

Day 297 - 2025-07-24

Was a hot day today. 92° outside and up to 88° inside.

My remote lesson was only 15 minutes, so I had 30 minutes until my next lesson to get a little work in. Felt good loading my trail leg better today. Not the main thing, just commenting on it.

Day 8: Made a ton of different putter length swings working with the metronome. Also worked on partial wedge shot feels.

Day 298 - 2025-07-25

Got some work in after a lesson at Whispering Woods. I hit one SPICY shot during the lesson, too, ha ha.

Day 85 (25 July 25) -Friday men’s group shootout.  Started tough with dbl-dbl, still 5 of 7 fairways hit, 2 GiR and 4 pars made for a 43 (not my best), make the turn and start par-bogie and the missed fairways piled up with 1 of 7 fairways hit, still 2 GiR and 2 pars made for a 47.  It was all about scrambling on the back and trying to not get desperate. A good lesson on course management and staying patiently in the round.

Day 299 - 2025-07-26

I spent 15 minutes practicing but it was almost pointless. It wasn't good practice. I was not really in it, but I put the time in. Oh, I did some chipping work before-hand, and that was good. I could have just left after that. 🙂

Day 86 (26 Jul 25) - Down at the beach place, had kept the clubs with me after playing yesterday.  Spent time this afternoon checking them over and brushing grooves on the wedges and irons.  Spent a few minutes working thru the swing process…working in slo mo through backswing and proper weight shift.

Day 9: Played in a scramble at a pitch and putt. Hit the ball okay.

Day 1 - range session. Solidifying grip, taking club back & up.   I continue to be amazed by how much my ball contact (low point control) & accuracy improves as my tempo slows/steadies

Day 300 - 2025-07-27

Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so.

Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).

Side note - my steak likely ends today, which is kind of cool. I’m going on a family vacation without golf stuff this week. So either I’m getting really creative with my 5 minutes, or I’ll start a new streak on Saturday.

Back in the saddle after vacation. 

Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
