Can someone tell me the difference in the "straight" version and the "slight arc" version of the Ping Kushin putter? I have seen pictures of some that looked to have a massive bend in the shaft that looked close to 75° and it looked extremely strange. Does anyone have full pictures of these putters? Thanks

Slight arc has a little toe hang. The straight and slight are very close and most golfers won't notice a big difference between the two. Straight would be for players that are trying to not have a lot of clubhead arc or face rotation to their strokes.

If you're not sure, get the PING app, get fit or just go with the slight arc. At the end of the day it won't make a huge difference. Much more important to find a putter head style and line configuration you aim well with and a weight that you like.

Thanks for the response. And that helps. I'm going to attach a picture of one I saw. Does it not seem like the shaft is at an odd angle? Looks like the grip would be hitting my knee caps. Is this how that putter is?

It could just be the angle of the picture. Looks like the toe is pointed up a little and that might be why the shaft looks so shallow. Just looks strange.

I agree that it's probably the angle of the picture.  I have a Ping Ketsch which I believe was also made in straight and slight-arc versions.  I can't imagine the shaft being drastically angled just to give it more toe hang.  The slight arc version will want to open and close more during the stroke.  mvmac's advice on fitting/testing is probably all you need if you don't know what your stroke is like.

Yes it's more of the angle of the picture. And what you are questioning would be more of the lie angle (looking super flat to you) than the straight, slight arc bend profiles.

      While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).

      Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.

      No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!! Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
