Hi All,

I’m looking to purchase irons, wedges, drivers and looking for recommendations. My selection is very limited because I am a lefty/female with a swing speed that averages around 65.  I am presently using Callaway’s Strata set and would like to upgrade.  Can any of you assist me with recommendations?

Thanks!

Yeah it gets a little tricky when you are a lefty female.

I'm going to make a suggestion that will probably not be said again. Tour Edge HL3. They are made in both dexterities and both genders. They won't break the bank either.

What's in Shane's Bag?

As a lefty female you are actually ok if you get fitted and have your clubs built and shipped from the manufacture.  You may end up wanting a selection of woods and hybrids, maybe shorter and lighter shafts.  However you and your fitter decide, you’ll be able to get what you want if you custom order.

I turned 70 recently and just replaced my irons.  I have been playing golf for 58 years and have used every shaft and almost every name brand irons made.  This time I decided to have clones custom made for my swing speed, using grips that I liked, club length to suit my height and a lie 1 degree flat.  Custom clone irons will cost about $40 each, and you can buy only what you want for irons.  On Woods and hybrids go to a demo day or a golf store and  hit until you find something that works  Whether you end up with hybrids or fairway wood will depend on your swing and which ones you are most comfortable with.
