I got fitted last year for my driver and Flight Scope showed my driver swing speed consistently in the low 90s and maxing about 95. During an iron fitting late last year, I took a lesson that was taped. The instructor seemed good but I felt he was missing something as I couldn't seem to stop casting (I'd made a little progress but still was casting some). I'd just chalked it up to 'this is my swing and I'll work on that later'.

Fast forward 6 months and I've been playing well as of late but wanted to work on that casting issue thus increasing that clubhead speed up to try to get to the next level. I purchased this Swing Speed Sensor   https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013L68A6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1    and was seeing the same numbers (low 90s) with my driver and low 80s with 4 iron.  I noticed while taking some backswings in a mirror that my hands were barely above shoulder height. I decided to try swinging more upright and found some helpful videos on youtube dealing with it.

Initial results were amazing with clubhead speed for driver over 100 now and hitting 106 often. At first I found it hard to believe and I had one of the local pros to use the device. He verified his swing speed (106-110) was accurately logged with it. I've got to keep an eye on the hips not to sway but it's definitely promising. My 4 iron was showing 92-94 mph as well.

Cool. Have you taken video of your swing as well? You may have improved your overall motion as well.

Too flat of a swing can mean you're effectively working against your body to generate speed vs. working with your body.  I gained yardage when I fixed my flat/inside takeaway backswing so it makes sense to me.
