Hi,

Well done for taking the plunge and putting a swing up. First step is to help us to help you by getting the camera angles right (otherwise it's kind of guesswork), so please read this:

http://thesandtrap.com/b/playing_tips/filming_your_swing

For what it's worth, the swing looks very 'arms driven' to me and I'd look at your rotation through the ball trying to feel like you get really open at impact with your weight forward. But, like I say, better camera angles will help :-).

Keep us posted!

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

Hi b101,

thanks for the reply!

I posted about that in the other forum, when I try using my body more I move more towards the ball and this produces an even worse heel shot and even at times a complete miss!

i only have my iPhone for filming purposes but i’ll Try set it up for better angles atleast!

Don't worry so much about instant results if you know you're focusing on the right things. I've had range sessions filled with shanks and one where I spent the entire hour hitting 7 iron chip shots trying to hook the ball - it's the end goal that matters.

With the iphone, I'd recommend you get a cheap tripod that will clip to your bag. Then stand that behind you and off you go. Getting the angles right and getting used to properly filming your swing is one of the best things you can learn to do. (e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ailun-iPhone-Tripod-Compact-Cellphone-Black/dp/B01N6713N8/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1530951201&sr=1-5&keywords=iphone+tripod)
