If you average 2 putts per round, your chipping and pitching must be really good.  Also I don't know how you can average fewer putts than you have GIRs.  Lastly, with that many penalty strokes, what's up with your shot zones?

Eh, I don't think so.  If I'm off the green and chipping/pitching, and putting off the green (which I don't count in my putting stats) most of the time, then in theory, I feel there should be more 1 putts because I don't leave myself a mile away.  Also, my average putts per GIR is 2.45 which I feel is rather high.

I've been on a two year hiatus (although to be fair, I never did dedicate as much time as I should have if I wanted to improve before the break) but feel more determined than ever with more free time to try and show significant improvement.

Note that you had said (mistakenly, which I'm jokingly playing along with) that you average "2 putts per round" not "2 putts per green."

Oh, haha, totally went over my head.

Looking at GG though, this year from less than 100 yards I'm 31% on the green, 101-150, 37%, and from 150+, 14% with an overall GIR percentage of 16%.  Dreadful, haha.

Yikes, that's not great.  I know GG doesn't keep this stat, but how are your near-GIRs from there?

Do the 5 minute challenge.  After the first month (many years ago) I felt there's no way, now the past two months I feel it's something I should be able to keep up on a regular basis.

Hard to say.  Many of my rounds consist of an abysmal 9 and then a bogey 9 or visa-versa.  For example, the last round I played was this past Friday.  I shot a 102, 22 over on the front with 1 GIR, 2 nGIR, and 3 penalty strokes.  On the back I shot 8 over with 3 GIRs, 4 nGIRs, and 1 penalty stroke.  That's not very atypical.

Yeah, I started that yesterday.
