Morning all. I want to start by admiting that i never really watched womens golf until Thursday last week but i think i may have been converted. My only usual dose of golf on tv is the Europro tour shown on Sky Sports Mix (their free channel) which offers some light entertainment. Anyway, while recovering from surgery i was laid on the couch having watched something when the Womens open came on. I had dropped the remote on the floor and the wife was in the kitchen with her headphones on so had no choice but to watch.

I'm glad i did. I ended up enthralled for 4 days cheering on Georgia Hall to a great win and watching some really good golf in the process. I found it more interesting to watch then many of the mens tournaments i have seen lately as the womens game seems to be more about course management, more a thinking persons game then the mens "hit driver 300yds then wedge to 5ft". Sure bombing it is exciting but it was interesting to see a player hit driver then a 3 wood into a par 4.

Thumbs up to Sky Sports for showing it free and i hope they show more of the womens tour as well.

I’m also in the minority, seemingly and I like to watch women’s golf.

A lot of people, especially better players, seem to dislike watching women play since they definitley can play almost as good or better (or think they can).

I’m still in awe of what they can do out there, and I do like to watch.

I prefer to watch the men’s tours, but I certainly don’t turn up my nose at a ladies tournament.

I enjoy watching the LPGA as well. Under some circumstances, I prefer it over the PGA.

I also care little about which country the women are from. I think it bothers some that South Korea has so many good players.

I don't watch women's golf as I already spend too much time watching men's golf, but I was thrilled to see Hall win.

That said, it's probably more relevant to many of our games than the PGA, where the players swing speed makes things so different.

While I don't have the technique that these players have, their swing speed is more comparable , and thus club selection more similar to the types of decisions that I'd face.

Absolutely! I was mesmerized watching Hall march on and grind it out. Hers is a fantastic golf story too. Best, -Marv
