Losing height and leaning towards the ball

Help!

ive recently been working with golf coach to try and tackle the problem of my dread heel, sometimes the shank shot. This comes is killing my round. 

He said that the issue seems to be when I start my takeaway I pivot towards the target and I also move in closer to the ball, making myself on the downswing hit straight out the heel. My angle of attack is apparently severally steepened when doing this. He mentioned about feeling like I’m moving further away from the ball and gaining height. I can’t quite get this feel.  

 

Any tips to get the feel? Currently the swing I have is doing no good for the condition of my Lower back
