A typical day for me starts out at 7am when Parmasters opens...

I play 18 holes on the simulator, take a shower in their locker room, head to class at 9:40am (or 10:20am on fridays)... and then get on the real course at 2:00pm when I get out of class.

I try not to hit less than 200 balls per day... you should have given an option for me.

During the season I try to get to the range at least once a week. I just feel it is nice to go out and swing all of the clubs, helping to decide which ones I want to carry during rounds at different courses. Plus, it is good to just let loose and blast a few balls to blow off some steam with the DotComThis driver...

I practice on technique at the range at least once per week (usually twice). The golf club is a 1/2 mile from my house and has an excellent range, putting/chipping area and another area for practicing pitching/sand shots. It's used by the Dave Pelz school.
I'd be there more often but my job gets in the way. I bought an annual range pass for $200 (great deal)

I'll warm up before a round if there's a range and I have time, but usually no more than 10 balls. If I only have 10 minutes, I'll head to the practice green for chips and putts to get the speed of the greens. After all, that's how you score.

I warm up before each round if possible, maybe 20 balls. After my Saturday round i will usually hit the range for about 45 minute to work on something, usually iron play or wedge play on the pitching range. During the week, if time allows, i get in another 45 minute session at the range before playing in the afternoon. I try and always hit the driver a few times each session just cause its fun to boom em sometimes.

I built my own. It's not really a driving range since the markers only go up to 200 yards. There is a narrow slot between the trees at 210 and continues on for a long ways but I don't try to hit many balls through there-although it is fun to send one through there once in a while. I just started playing golf last summer but try to hit a few hundred balls most days. Most days just with one club. Other days mix them up.

Right now, my wife is still learning, so I go to the range often for her sake. I like to call it practice. My routine is to some sense have no routine. I try to simulate a "round" on the practice tee. I hit a drive...then pull a mid-iron...then maybe a wedge. I constantly hit different clubs from different lies. After we finish off our bucket we head over to the chipping area. I usually pull out a sleeve of my own balls and chip 3, putt 3, chip 3, putt 3. Then I might putt for awhile. There I do three major drills: long lag putts, putt some balls that circle the cup at the same distance, and work on speed by lining up a string of balls.

Thats it...I they had a good sand pit I would work on my sand game.

I could not vote either as I go several times a week and hit lots of balls. All in all too much practice. Ideally, the people I see who hit daily at the range for about 20 minutes have the best approach to keep the tempo and timing while not overdoing it. Its either you love or hate the range, it seems to me.

I go to the driving range alot when the weather is nice, but living in CT really sucks during the winter. If it is not snowing, then it might be to cold to go but you never can really tell until you get there. There is a driving range a couple of minutes from my house that is open all year and has a heated tee line where you tee off from, it is nice. I go there about each weeks during the winter and try to hit at least a couple large buckets to get ready for the upcoming season.

I voted less than once a month. Back when I lead a much more leisurely life, I went to the range a couple times a week. I spent alot of time putting and generally working on my short game (which really paid off and continues to pay dividends), as well as beating balls. Now, if I get to the range three times a season, once every two months, I am doing pretty good. Back when I spent more time at the range, I was probably a more consistent player. Now, I usually go when I'm in the midst of a downward slide in my game and I need to sort things out. Now, if I have time for anything, I prefer to just play rather than practice. During the winter, there is absolutely nowhere to hit balls around here or I would be out there at the rock pile as often as time allows. Maybe this summer I will commit to hitting the range more often.

I could not vote also. I go to the range everday but Tuesday. That is my day off. I hit about 70 to 150 balls six days a week.

Brother-in-law just became my new best friend because he moved to Orlando. Man, I wish I had the opportunity to practice 12 months out of the year. I will be visiting him more often now especially during the winter.

    • First (12 holes) round in a year, maybe the third round in five years. After prioritizing family for a long time, I’m ready to play more golf. We moved back where I grew up and started playing golf. The course is close, but only six holes and pretty short, so the longest club I bring is a 4i. It is very undulated, with a lot of elevation changes and 4/6 greens are blind shots. The long game was relatively good (relative to my game and swing). Got things to work on, but the current state is manageable. One OB. Wedges and short game was atrocious. Chunking like I was making a garden. On the worst hole I chunked a 58° approach, then chunked three chips in a row… Time to search up some chipping topics and start practicing. I’ll take this over bad long game and good short game. The short game is easier to fix. Shot a net +17(!), gross +23, over 12 holes.
    • Day 118 - Spent some time working on the full swing. Need to film some swings for Evolvr tomorrow.
    • playing with cleveland hybrid irons have friends that use hybrids anyone using hybrid irons or hybrids would appreciate fwwdback
    • I dont know if I really have a favorite, but there are two that have stuck in my mind for a very long time. #15 at Erie Golf course during the Finals of the EDGA Matchplay. Was up early and then lost a few holes in row so the match was close again. My opponent had a short putt for birdie. I hit past hole high, but 35 feet right. I drained the putt and looked over at my opponent who was in disbelief.   #8 at Whispering Woods during another year of the EDGA Matchplay. Was playing a very cocky opponent who made sure to mention on the first tee how many times he won the club championship at this course. I hammered this 30 footer that clanked off of the pin and dropped. My opponent was disgusted and that made me weirdly happy. I went on to win 5&3 or something like that, so that entire day has stayed in my memory.
    • Day 20: Did 30 minutes after getting home from work, before kid's baseball practice. This session was piecing out the new hip move in transition, doing 2-3 rehearsals from the top, and then hitting a ball from between P5/P6. Did another 45 minutes after baseball practice and dinner. Did 30 more minutes of what I did earlier, and then about 15 minutes of full swings trying to incorporate athletically.
