I picked up a Swing Caddie sc200 a couple of weeks ago, and was wondering if anyone has used one with a practice net. The manual has an illustration that looks like it is being used with a net. But when I contacted support I was told it is designed to be used on the range only.

Yes, works fine with a net. You need a certain distance between the unit and the ball, and between the ball and the net, I forget what the manual said, but it's not a lot. I've used mine inside and it's better than nothing but gives no spin info. I don't use it outside -- see, the ball went there. What's the point?

Bought one after reading a TON of reviews. Seemed that there were more positive than negative, so I took the chance. Took it to the range on a nice, clear, calm day. The readings were all over the place. One shot with a 6i registered 135yd, the next hit virtually the same said 168yd. Hit my driver, said it was used 200, which was totally impossible. Had many more similar discrepancies, sent it back for a refund. Considered a Mevo, but $500. Ouch.

No accuracy problems with the SC200 - mph is a little higher than Trackman by a couple of mph. It sometimes will miss a ball, I'll reposiiton and it will take the reading. Sometimes, I must thurn the unit off, then on. But otherwise, it's fine for its purpose. It's a useful tool for feedback.

I understand they are developing something to compete with Mevo.

I have the 100 and it works pretty well. As mentioned above I have to make sure it's positioned in the right spot. I have never used it with a net. Once I get it in the right spot, no problems.

My bag:

Taylor Made Burner 2 irons (stiff)
Cleveland Wedges (gap and 60)
