Not sure how much stock I put into these five exercises leading to a significant improvement in a person's ability to hit the ball further as I think by incorporating of strength training you can accomplish the same goal but thought I'd post this to see if anyone had any feelings about it.

Nothing really earth shattering here when it comes to these exercises. A lot of core strength exercises that yes I am sure could absolutely help with hitting the ball further, given that the club face is still delivered reasonably well to the ball. I don't think anything about these exercises guarantees a better golf game by themselves, but could be a valid portion of an exercise regime used by golfers or anyone else for that matter.

I like the plank exercise with rotation. I do planks, but that one looks better. Most of the other ones I do a variation of them.

    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
