Anyone got any experience of how well True Strike Mats hold up over a number of years? I've got a chance to pick one up second hand for my set up at home. It's one of the original ones, about 10 years old I think.....looks in good condition from photos but I've not seen it in person.

We use them at our downtown academy and they've lasted seven years of HEAVY use. They're great. And when the gel wears out, or more likely the cover, you can replace it, not the whole mat.

The Golf Smith that used to be near me had a bunch of these in their hitting bays. I always thought that they were very good.

Any idea on how would it hold up to the outdoors elements? i.e., can it be left out..

Your weather is quite different than ours, and I wouldn't leave the gel section in particular (or the plastic, really) in the 0-20° temps we often get in the winter.
