What are the biggest factors on how well a club sells

Relative to expectations, etc. For example, we knew the Epic would sell well, but no one knew it would be the number one club, etc. 

Are there really any other big factors other than how well the players do that play the clubs and club testing results?

I think in golf, "hype" has lot to do with how well anything golf related sells. It matters little if the hype is accurate, or not. With millions of golfers available out there, a certain percentage of golfers, looking to better their game will buy into it. Sometimes it's worth the hype. Sometimes it's not.

The two biggest factors are ignorance and want.  Beware them both but especially the boy.
