Excuse my ignorance...

So I was fitted to Ping red dot .75 to 1 degree "flat". Does that mean in my old (back up) set I should have my clubs bent 1 degree GREATER or LESS than standard lie angle for comparable length? I never had them fitted and played MFR standard.

Both my sets, although different types of clubs, are the same. I even have them check every year to make sure they are still with in my specs.

My take is, if fitted properly, why play clubs that are not fitted to one's personal specs. Unless of course they have to.

Flat is a lower lie angle.

60 - 1 = 59

I would advise you take your "old set" to your fitter and have a dynamic lie fitting done. All the lies on that set won't be exactly identical. As you said, your new set had .25 degrees of variation in their lies. That's why they were bent anywhere from .75 to 1.0 degrees flat.
