I recently acquired a Titleist 695MB Five Iron from a thrift shop visit. Not surprisingly, the loft is somewhat weaker than modern day irons. This five iron  has the same loft as my Tour Edge six iron which is 28 deg. Also, the shaft is 1/4 Inch shorter.  Yes, I am quite aware that it has been stated that this club is for very skilled players. No matter, besides only in recent years have I been using cast, cavity backs and I have always preferred smaller heads.  I just liked the looks.   oh yeah.....in case you are curious..... $8.00. (but had to put new grip on it).

I’ve been playing 695 CB’s for 8 or 9 years now.  They’re about due for retirement and upgrade, but they’ve served me very well over the years...

good to know.  I was about half expecting a hoard of people telling me why I should not be playing these. But as you may know by now, I do not pay a lot of heed to "conventional wisdom" which I consider an oxymoron. 😏

Got a set of mint 695 MB's from my father-in-laws boss a couple of years ago. He had decided to quit golf and was literally putting his clubs in the skip. Drivers, wedges, the lot.

FIL didnt get to the skip in time for the drivers but the irons had rarley been used. They sit in the man cave for that "Maybe i'll game these this year" moment.

Russ, from "sunny" Yorkshire = :-(

I had to look that one up, but my guess was correct.  "Skip"=Trash (community collection bin). I normally take my discards to Veterans' store or local thrift, so a bloke like myself might benefit. Tit for Tat as it were.

They often get random stuff thrown in them if you leave them unattended such as matresses, chairs and.....

Here in the US, we refer to them as a "Red Neck" collector.
