2019 European Tour Meta Thread

Seemed like we could use a thread for the Euro Tour, but not a thread every week.

Anyway - I watched the end of the 3rd round of the Saudi International event.
Haoton LI finished the round eagle/eagle; giving him 4 eagles for the day. 3 of them on par 4's, 2 of them chipping in. So his 62 puts him into a tie with DJ, going into tomorrow; that's a 62 with 2 birdies.

This week the European tour is in Australia, playing the Super 6 event. It is an interesting format, quite a change of pace from the weekly norm

The first 3 rounds are stroke play, cut to low 65 plus ties after 36, final cut to 24 after the 3rd round; playoff to get the field to 24. Sunday is match play, with matches being 6 holes. The top 8 seeds get a bye.
So Sunday is a 6 rounds of 6-hole matches to get to the winner, each round has a knockout hole if there is a tie.
Last years winner was Kiradech Aphibarnrat - who made it through a 9 man playoff to reach the final 24, and won matches in knockout holes.
