Can I use my pitching wedge from the sand and closer short game shots or do I need to go out and get a sand wedge too?? If so what is a good SW for around 100.00 and under I am a beginner with a high handicap

It will be over 100, but a Ping Glide wedge is worth the extra bit of money.

I recommend using a SW, the design of the SW is meant to help you out in the sand.

thanks for the help!!!

I own a SW, but most of the time I use my LW  to get out of bunkers. I can get oit of bunkers with my PW too.  I use my SW  alot for chips, and pitches around the green.

The deal is, most of the bunkets I play out of have pretty firm sand in them. Sand that is wateted down, and sun baked dry.

I really don't know if all golfers need a SW or not. I suppose it's up to the individual.
