2 months ago I adjusted my driver to an upright lie angle and really began hitting the driver much much better. Does this mean my irons could use an upright lie?

Not necessarily. It would be best to demo that change before making it. You could have one club adjusted then see how your numbers come out unless you’re able to have your exact club (head/shaft) in a demo then see how the numbers come out.

Good idea. Can they bend it back if I decide I dont like it?

Some clubs bend better than others. I’m sure it could be bent back but it’s usually recommended to not bend more than 2*.

I know how some people feel about static fitting measurements and would probably recommend an extensive and expensive full fitting but I still believe that a simple lie board check will tell you if the irons need an adjustment in lie angle. Start there before you go trying to bend clubs that may or may not bend.

^^^Good info up there.

If I may add on the lie board check- the shaft can contribute to the degree of the club's lie as it flexes down- too soft a flex can suggest higher up right.

About bending back- whether the head is forge or cast, most fitters do not recommend a bend back.  That's when the metal begins to weaken and ultimately break.

The best or proper way to go about it is of course have a professional fitting session.  Trial and error can actually be fun which is what I've done initially.  The draw back is that it is more time consuming although you'll learn many things (but some not so accurate) at the same time along the way- it could take years though.  Also, in the long run, it is much more expensive than a fitting session.
