For my science project i chose to examine the composition of golf balls and stuff and while i was cutting them open i decided to take some pictures.

how are you analyzing the composition? Do you have access to a FTIR or DSC machine? If you had enough time you could backwards engineer the golf balls. I think the processing of them would be the hard part though.
