interesting your comments about quail ridge, I've e driven past it dozens of times, might have to try it some day. you'll love Southern Pines, the greens are crazy, the renovations are good, and things just keep improving there.

I shot my best ever round of 3 over 75 the other day, 5 birdies a couple double bogeys and four bogeys. Crazy wild round honestly but I ended birdie birdie and chipped in at the last! -
Ha. If you separate out the actual experience with the course itself, Rancho Park is awesome! Definitely my favorite in the LA area among the ones I played 6+ times. So many great holes! Of course, it took 5-6 hours to play 18 on a weekend when I used to play there 15 years ago. And now they put out 5somes every 10 minute! So the actual experience of playing golf there is often among the worst possible, not best possible 🤣 -
Quail Ridge is a good course. They did a renovation and reopened back in 2017. For the area, at $80 during peak season, it is a great value. Especially since they put in the tournament Bermuda greens you see at Pinehurst #2, Midpines, etc.
