LOL I would laugh. I have done my fair share of blasting horn while i was driving by a course (when I was 16). People have lost their sense of humor. I probably would hang back and let people play through, only to watch their expression hahahahahaha

Why would you wish that on someone?!? LOL. At least he destroyed his OWN property and didn't take it out on the course, cart, etc. Some people have off days and get fired up. I have broken many of clubs in my day.

Yes they are superior in every way because you played in tournaments that no one has heard of and apparently played well. Good clubs? Yes. Superior than others? Highly doubtful as you dont represent the masses.

I would get a shaft fitting before I would cut it down. Go to a place that has a launch monitor. They will be able to give you exact statistics of how your hitting the ball. I was using a stock shaft in my Nike and the ball was really high on well struck hits. I decided to have a launch monitor session at my golf shop and they had me try different clubs and different shafts. I was tested on the Callaway fitting system since they could switch shafts very fast. I bought the shaft that had the best angles, mph, etc. It was the ProLaunch Red. I came back after it was installed in the Nike and I actually had better numbers than the Callaway. I was very happy as I love the look of the Nike driver.

Technology has pretty much made the one and two iron obsolete. With the hybrids you have the distance but also get the height. I could see how a low piercing one iron would be good for a hard packed flat course if you wanted accuracy of the tee. My friend that rarely ever plays has a Callaway X12 or X14 1 iron and he hits it fine. Forged club, different story

Join a club or just go to the same course. Thats what my dad did when he retired and now he has about 4 to 5 guys he plays golf multiple times a week.

For me it comes down to chipping. I am used to playing a premium ball around the greens. I know how its going to react to the club and how much spin I should get. That being said, I have hit a Top Flite D2 from the fairway and it hits and stops. I see your point and I somewhat agree just not when comparing for the short game.

I am sure that fear will be back when/if Tiger gets his game back.

I played copper eye2s when I was a freshman in highschool (97/98). I really liked them and I forgot why I sold them . One night my dad and I were cleaning the clubs and he found a can of Brasso underneath the sink and we spent the next 3 hours buffing the clubs to make them look like gold!!! hahaha. The look only lasted for about 3 rounds but it was hilarious to see peoples reaction when I pulled out the gold sticks!!!.
