Yes, Al Davis was part of the AFL/NFL merger, but he was shrewd, arrogant and shady back then. He had all kinds of back door deals back then and when he moved the Raiders up and down California. Very untrust worthy. Now I don't wish that upon anyone. I just don't idolise him like his myopic following. He did help the San Diego Charger franchise and ownership with the purchase and persoNelson in the 70's and 80's. Inpartial or indifferent, the man changed the NFL and has done some good things.

I have struggled with this part myself. I tend to fly open like I'm pulling a shot to left field. It's either a strait pull or a nasty hook. Since day one!

I absolutely like Tifosi sunglasses. I saw them mentioned here a few years back and thought I would try them since they are so inexpensive. I feel in love with the Golf/Tennis lenses. So much so, I had a pair made into my prescriptions sun glasses. I wear them all the time outdoors and living in Arizona we get a bit of Sun. For the price , I don't feel any glasses I've over paid for over the years has comes close to what you get.

Could Luke Donald Really Be the World's Number One Player?
J_Bone replied to Chilli Dipper's topic in Tour Talk
I think its great! I hope he pulls it off. -
WOW....Some people are so sensitive. Tiger answered the questions short and to the point and he's being rude? It's rude to interrupt him in that moment while he's still involved in a Tournament. Back off the guy and wait till its completely over. If you expect anything more, than you need to go cry to your mommy and tell her he's being rude. caniac6 & Slim, You didn't offend us Americans. You felt one guy is rude and that's fine. I don't care if you think he's rude. He can be at moments, but he was not rude at that moment. Which was the topic. Over the past three to four decades, take the Euro players as a whole and you can say the Euro players were rude and arrogant.

Do you match name brands in your bag?
J_Bone replied to jmanbooyaa's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Yes and No..... My Ogio bag has Nike woods (Driver, 3W 3H), Mizuno irons (3-pw), Cleveland wedges (GW, SW LW) and a Never Compromise putter. Oh, I wear a Titleist hat but no longer use Titleist clubs or balls. I did use Titleist products at one time but my favorite hat is a Titleist cool max hat that fits so perfect I can not use it! I have some other Mizuno and other name brand hats, they just don't fit right or they are regular material that doesn't breath as well. Now I'm going to be conscience of what my hat says now. But I can wear the Mizuno ones in winter since it is much cooler now. -

In response to this; He contacted me immediately and I was informed of shipment and delivery date. It shipped the day he said and arrived a day early. I've only used it in the back yard with some practice swings. I will be taking it to practice this Sunday. It does feel a bit awkward but it's a training aide.

As I was reading this thread last night, I heard his name said on the TV. I had the Golf channel on and they just happened to have an episode with Sean Foley with tips for Low, medium and high handicappers. So I sat and watched as they discussed the DVD coming out (thinking it's been delayed..blah blah) and all his tips. He had good tips for all handicaps but it wasn't anything I haven't already read or heard! Especially after reading Mike and Andy's " stack and tilt " book. It was refreshing to see these concepts going main stream and not be talked down upon.

Sunglasses, need some suggestions
J_Bone replied to markpf189's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I second this..... I bought a pair of Tifosi glasses with the tennis/golf lenses. These are the best sun glasses I have ever owned......which were Dragon, Oakley, Ray Ban, Utopia, Spy and Bolle. I liked them so much I got a pair of RX lenses with the same Tennis/Golf tint and WOW. These are great! The RX service was fast and exact. -
Never Compromise. Been using this one over a year and have yet to find any thing that has the feel of this one. I've tried bunch of other over priced ones, but nothing compares to it. I bought it used for $40 from this site.

I love the golf swing into the ipad.

I was planning on playing there next weekend. My sister is getting married right there and had group all ready to go........and blam. I was volunteered to setup and play Croquet instead. What....are you kidding me? "Yes, I'm so sorry." I know it's her day/weekend and all. But man, I haven't been back over this way in 8 years. Sorry to vent, but someone else started this thread and it just added salt to the wound.

Mine were doing the same thing. I used just a bit more of a stronger grip to close the face a bit. It turned my push to a nice draw.

Huh?? If you hit your ball into a different bunker, you can't rake the bunker you just hit from because it's in a bunker else where?
-
I do...Here in the Desert some of us will carry a "Desert club". With lots of desert and gravel, we hit off of gravel more often than other fairways.

I'm almost "THAT GUY". Lately I have been hitting 50% of range balls with my driver. Since it's the biggest stroke addition to my score card, I don't see a problem with it.

Can someone recommened a cheap, but quality putter
J_Bone replied to No1CeltsFan's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
+2...I felt the same way. I've tried and tried to use Ping's putters and they never felt right. The Cleveland is an excellent putter. They feel great! Keep an eye out for used ones. I found my current putter for $40 and have tried 4 other putters and always come back to it. It's old, but it works great for me. -
For the cost, either the The Adams Idea A3 set (52 56 60) for $90 or the Purespin Golf Tour Series Diamond Face set (52 56 60) at $60 look like great deals for some one on a budget. I actually like the looks of the Purespin more.

I just stared doing that on the back nine of my last round. I scored a 46 on the front and a 39 on the back. I'm going to keep doing that same routine.
