  1. yep, thats what i had in mind.
  2. "Dress for success"
  3. A fine choice in shoe there & a great deal on the Norman shorts. The majority of my golf wear is Norman.
  4. I would drop the 21*, add the 3w, and start looking at filling out my short irons & wedges (your scoring clubs).
  5. The two faced chippers (righties or lefties) are not legal under USGA rules.
  6. Its not unheard for a tour player to carry a club of the opposite hand and use it to get out of a trouble condition (righty hitting a left hand shot). You're fine.
  7. Lately, 52*, pw, or 9 iron depending on how much green to work with and if its up hill or not.
  8. #1 & #2 - I hole out & write down what I actually scored (my ESC is 8 but even if I shoot a 9, I write it down). When I post my score for handicapping, the system I use examines each hole's score and adjusts it down if its too high relative to the my ESC value. The sum of all of the holes (examined & adjusted if called for) is the score the system uses for handicap purposes. For stats I use my true gross score. #3 - no, ESC only applies for handicap purposes (post processing)
  9. Michigan Ohio rivalry (1897) has been around 15 years longer than Nebraska Oklahoma (1912).
  10. There is a difference between "making the putt" & the ball dropping in the hole. If you putt, and the ball goes down your intended line to your intended distance, then you made your putt. That doesn't mean the ball ended up in the cup; you may not have read the break correctly. Happens all the time when you're lag putting.
  11. I started the season missing short putts, finally worked it out by anchoring the right elbow against my mid-section and pulling the club face through with my left side. Starting making putts, raised my confidence, and allowed me to work on the other trouble spots of my game.
  12. Search the site, there is at least one (maybe more) threads on the Gamer. You'll find lots of good opinions & info.
  13. You may want to check that your shaft flex is a match for swing speed. May be a little on the stiff side?
  14. Good thing I went to the range to work some things out; I realized my grip had gotten "sloppy" and spent the time getting that back straight. Then worked on my wedge game.
  15. After reading and comprehending more of the book, I'm headed to the range tonight to work on some specific items. I don't normally like to go to the range (rather play) but now that I have a plan, I won't mind.
  16. Skydroid with free unlimited course download or create your own. A steal at $1.99 if you have a Android smartphone.
  17. Stay in the moment. I know, easily said, but's important to not think too far ahead of what you're doing right at that moment. This applies to many sports.
  18. Wasn't worth the mouse click.
  19. I would bet the senior flex shafts will be more of a hindrance than the stiff shafted wedge. If not now, very soon.
  20. American media is terrible when it comes to international news (actually its terrible & biased when it comes to our own too). This is the first I've heard of the trouble & I generally watch our news regularly.
  21. He was tugging on the line and you needed to reel him in before he spit the bait out.
  22. I have several firearms (pistols & shotguns), can carry if I choose but even living in the suburbs of Detroit, I haven't felt the need to. Its comforting to know that I have a choice. But the worst feeling is while I'm working in Mexico in the same area that the drug cartels are grabbing Americans for ransom and don't have the choice of protecting myself. I could be just another casualty, subjected to the violence from those that are armed and don't care what laws they're breaking.
  23. ha ha, thats my home course (I have a membership there). Long but with no OB stakes anywhere (there are big hedges) its hard to get into bad trouble.
  24. I upgraded to a LG Ally Android at VW last month and downloaded SkyDroid recently for $1.99, no annual fees, and you download courses right to your phone from where ever you're at (no PC required). Have used it several times & works great.
