  1. It has been a while but I will try and fill you in to the best of my ability. I could do a lot of activities after the surgery but just not many that involved the left hand for me since that is what was operated on in my case. It was about 6 weeks post-surgery before physical therapy recovered. If you have good flexibility and mobility in general hopefully that helps because I had some struggles with physical therapy and I think it was about 9 months after surgery before I tried to swing a golf club. I could be a bit off on this. I felt like I was close to 100% about a year after surgery. I will be forthcoming though in saying I never got full mobility of my wrist back but I also don't really work on it and should. The good news is I am back to playing golf at a greater ability than I was before the accident. I personally would be afraid to do heavy weightlifting after this surgery but your doctor obviously will let you know what you can do. Let me know if you went through with the surgery. Thank you @bkuehn1952 for tagging me to see this as he knows I don't log in all that often. Hope you are doing well!
  2. With the way concert tickets have gone recently and the location of the event, I am not overly surprised. It is disappointing, but I am sure people will pay it. I went to a practice round at the Straits and to Erik's point, it was rather dull to sit and watch a few groups come through. I wouldn't pay this if it was back at the Straits again.
  3. Hopefully that heals up quickly for you!

    Hickory Golf

Yeah, I thought I would be able to hold that on the upper tier but everything slopes front to back and left to right on that green and left is not the place to miss. Looked great when it came out of the sand but just kept rolling. That putter is brand new and very light as well. I need to get used to it.

    Hickory Golf

Filmed nine holes of hickory golf for fun. This is a pretty challenging course to do it on, but I enjoyed it. My first and probably only round of hickory golf this year. I need to play it more often because I like how it affects my tempo. I put a brand new 1 iron and putter in the bag that I have not used before. Here are the clubs and lofts I used: Louisville replica Brassie: 14* Louisville replica 1 Iron: 20* T.Stewart original Mid-Iron: 25* T.Stewart original Mashie: 36* T.Stewart original Mashie-Niblick: 45* T.Stewart original Niblick: 53* Louisville replica Spalding HB putter
  6. I'll report back. 😁
  7. My best guess is under 100 so I need to get out more. Still trying to play all that Wisconsin has to offer and there are a lot of great ones here. Checked Blackwolf Run off the list this year and Sedge Valley. Blackwolf Run is brutal. I have to get to Sentry World and The Lido yet around here at the top of the local list. So many places all over the country and world I would love to go to though. Will have to pick a top ten maybe at some point and try and get to them.
  8. Have not filmed my iron swing in years so here is a current one. Was getting pretty shut with the face and hanging back as is my tendency, so I have just been working on that. Pretty dang happy overall with this swing but it is clearly not without flaws either.
  9. Yeah Sedge is so much fun. I shot a 77(Par 68) out there, and then shot a 77(par 73) the next day at Mammoth. I should have shot a 75 at Mammoth but somehow took a double on 17 after my drive left me 100 yards from the green. Sedge is a decent challenge. Mammoth is too easy, but still pretty. My buddy is a 25 handicap roughly so that is why we played there.
  10. As far as memberships go in this area, it is very reasonable for a course of this caliber(in the sense in which it is taken care of and visually I mean). It forces my concentration the entire round, and makes most other courses I play seem fairly easy. It really isn't crazy target oriented from the tips as well but definitely feels that way at first. I hate playing from the blue tees because it takes driver mostly out of my hand. White tees as I have played with my Dad are very fun because I can go for quite a few greens. Funny you mention that about SV, I have been considering reaching out to others here about that. I have to play The Lido though so that means a stay on property is required. I've mentioned it to a couple people, but I am game to get serious about that at some point.
  11. Don't really want to start a new thread for this, so I will just post here. Sedge Valley, it's a gem. La Belle., I joined as a member this year. Before you jump on me for why since I have not been the biggest fan of it in the past, the course makes me a better golfer. It is also nice to look at in general and quiet. Member reserved tee time slots are nice as well.
  12. Some photos from Sedge Valley this past week. I really enjoyed this Tom Doak par 68 design. It is probably my second favorite course on the property to this point. It looks fairly wide open with a number of drivable par 4s, but you really have to place your shots on it. A mixture of convex and concave at points as well. I wasn't able to play The Lido as I did not stay on the property. I hope to do that in 2025. I am pretty happy overall with the current state of my game. I've really only been working on a couple of things in the swing overall this season. Delaying any hinge or feeling very little in the BS and loading into my right foot to feel getting off my right side better. This has really helped with my left miss although it is still there at time when I get tense or tired during a round. With the longer clubs I have been working on being a bit more around and less steep as well. Despite the numbers below, my putting has been improving and these days my left miss is still usually in play. Happy overall with the proximity numbers as well.
  13. I have been playing a lot of golf this summer. It is the first season in many that I have been able to do so. Making some progress.
  14. Yeah the PXG fitter had shafts to test that were that short for me. I think 43.5” OAL was the shortest.
  15. Interesting. What is the overall length of your driver with this shaft? 42” or so? I was fit by PXG to a 43.5” driver overall length. X-Stiff, 11 degrees and very heavy for how short it is. D something. Made a huge difference for me as well.
