  1. You can bring one club out of your burner set to the pro shop . There they can determin what type fits . Now you have the option to let them install it or you can purchase them and install them at home . A lot of shops dont charge to regrip when you purchase the grip from them . Also they have several models of grips from different manufacturers . I am sure the pro would be more than glad to share his 2 cent wisdom .
  2. Best to visit your local Pro shop and have yourself fitted . I like the feel of the New Lamkin crossline Shock Absorbing grips . They dampen the sting one feels in mishits and give the user a good feel for the club .
  3. Golf is a game of patience , stamina , consistency , skill and last but not the least frustration . The best way is to learn from frustration . The more frustrated you become the more challenged you are to take the next step . Have a local golf PRO take a look at your weak points and take good advise on how to correct them . You can now practise the advise on the Range and go on from there . If you were near my location in So Ca id be honored to help you with your game at a driving range close to you . Welcome to the game of GOLF .
  4. Tiger playing outside the US PGA tour gave credentials to the Euro PGA of which he was honored to Play in . By wisely stating that he thought Poulter was #2 , He had the European crowd nod and thus made him number 1 in their Ranks .
  5. Sabatini has come to the end with his Nike sponsorship . For what ever reasons ... ( Tiger being #1 endorser) Nike had to let him go . Adams and some Manufacturers have shown interest in him and come Feb this year he will wear and play for his sponsors . He looks like a nice kid off the golf course . kind and helpful to old people . Perhaps age will smoothen him a bit . Such talent wont go to waste too soon . Golf needs vilains and he is the perfect golfer for that role . And so the golfing drama continues ...
  6. To meet nice people and enjoy .
  7. Yes and no . At 11 handicap you are on your way to taking the next level in golf . AP 2 are forgiving irons but what you may need is more workable irons such as the Z series . Golf is about how to work your shots to favor you and not the other way around . It may be challenging but it is worth the Play time . Try to see if you can try the Z on the range . You will not be dissapointed... that i can promise .
  8. In this world of uncertain events it would be wise to have a proper education then turn Pro . I belive it is the parents resposiblity to impart to their children the value of education . 99.8 percent of kids who dream of making it big one day will come to realize the truth when all smoke has cleared . There is only one Tiger , one Jordan ....
  9. A dark horse will win at least 3 pga tour events . My bet is on Chopra to come from behind . Hes got 1 and two more to go . KJ isnt doing bad either . Ill predict he gets a Major this year .

    I beat golf!

Way to go BEN . I wont be surprised to watch you on the Golf channel playing in the Nationwide Tour .
  11. There are things you might want to consider in upgrading irons . Not all you see or try may be the right one . Manufacturers Advertising and being IN may not give you what you want for your game . Google the iron of your choice and read the independent feedbacks from satisfied golfers . Also try models from 2-3 years ago . Ther are a lot of game improvement set that are well worth it but have been shadowed by all these new so called technology . Market place of this forum is a good place to start . Used well cared sets are their weight in Gold . Plus you get to spend your savings on other matters that can bring your game to the next level .
  12. Swing mechanics , club face , ball contact , loft factor/bounce . These are some of the facts to consider . For plays requiring you spin the ball back a couple of feet try using the bounce of the club head . Meaning , try to hit down on the ball with a complete follow through making a divot in front of the ball rather than at the back . To stop the ball dead you can flop the ball with a divot on the exact spot where the ball lie and complete the follow through . Thats what i did according to David Leadbetter and it works .
  13. Yes Japanese wedges do have a great spin factor . Aside from having square grooves some have their club faces deep milled for that extra grab on the ball . Kinda expensive but they are worth it . Yururi came out with a Black oxide looking wedge a year or two ago . These are tour inspired and if you can get hold on one of these you are going to bring your short game another notch .
  14. For short par 3's i rarely use tees . Long par 3 i give my tee height 1/3 of an inch above the ground . This gives enough room for the club to strike the ball squarely and a shallow divot is created in front of the ball as an end result .
  15. What is one mans gold is anothers lead . The list does not foretell the outcome of what the opinion of a controlled group may fair out. The following months will tell which is which . And yes ... this does not apply to each and every one . best to try all what there is in a golf shop .
  16. Try Ebay . May come accross a good bargain . Also there are other good grips from different manufacturers .
  17. I do keep a 64* in my bag . have been in bunkers that ordinary wedges dont help a bit . Plus with lob shots with pin placements with bunkers in front gets the ball to stop.
  18. A 60* in your bag will not hurt . Once you have mastered its use it will your next best friend on distances 50 meters down . Nice thing bout it is you can do a full swing and still have distance and ball controll .
  19. Golf is a gentlemans game . What ever the lie is if it is not deem unplayable has to be played as is . Like life there are a lot of obstacles one has to face befor one can be wise . Playing according to the rule will help develope the honesty factor in you . Be it at school or at work there are rules that govern all of us . Rules reminds us we live in a civilized age .
  20. DD Had his best games long ago . Now he has to scratch and claw his way back to his old form . If he can find the inner fire that gave him the number 1 spot years ago im sure he can still win . The only factor that i see holding him back is himself . Like Tiger no one can beat him except himself .
  21. Titleist 660 MB Tour Titleist 690 MB Titleist 804 CB Cobra Carbon CB Tour Cleaveland CG4 Tour Ping S58 Ping ISIK Becu TM Miura Tour Mizuno MX19 Tourstage X Blade MB Callaway X Blade Tour Macgregor 675 MB Tour Last but not the least Honma Beres TW
  22. Put a 2 ft 2x4 wood block an inch and a half to two inches in front of your ball at adress . This would help you align your clubhead to run parallel to the block on its way to the golf ball . As you go past your ball without contact to the block would is the drill to perfect your ball contact and take away .
  23. Maybe its time to change putters . Go to your golf outlet and try the Two bar putter by RIFE . Also take time to try other brands and see how your ball reacts off the putter face .
  24. This is a good start for the best is still to come in your game . Im sure the feeling of that shot still rings and feel positive that it will carry on . Keep this moment intact in your brain to remind you that ... Yes it is possible to play that shot . With more practice and positive thingking i am confident you will love the game of GOLF more . Happy New Year !!!!
  25. Golf too does have its share of A... H....s . Thought this would be a gentelmans game but there are a lot of Players who think they are superior in their ways that they fail to give notice to the way the game should be played . Giving way to others is not a sign of weakness . It shows that you have evolved into a higher plane of manliness and by such you have kept the honor of selflesness . Wish this 2008 more players would evolve and become the TRUE Gentlemen .
