He was blood doping, totally different thing. Blood doping would be useless in golf.

I'm gonna shoot mother nature if it rains all week like it's supposed to.

so9unds like you are scooping the ball up instead of hitting down on it, imo. Go to a fitter though, anything else is a waste of time and money.

All I know is that the GBB Epic is the best driver I have ever hit, ugly or not. Then you could not have used the new Ping or GBB Epic drivers. Both are noticeable improvements in driver tech.

Anyone used Thomas Golf hybrids?
Apoc81 replied to Dennis JA's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Sure you don't mean Callaway? -
Thats fine, I still think it's ugly and distracting.

My third favourite tourny of the year. Open first, then Masters, the US Open. Ifi could win any tourny I wanted, granted by some Genie, it'd be the British open. And welcome!

I have to admit I was rooting against bubba all day. And how can he stand that garish driver. A pink base fine, but the top would distract the hell out of me. I saw it at a golf shop, that ugly stick is 800$ cdn.

Lololol Phil on PED's. That's the funniest thing I've heard today.

Good for Dufner. I didn't get the end. :(

How many have tried real Persimmon golf clubs?
Apoc81 replied to Apoc81's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Oh, I had no illusions on their overall performance, was just wondering if pklaying them felt different, did you have to swing differently, was there a lot of flex in the shaft? Sweet spot, stuff like that. Ya, i'm speaking strictly real persimmon. I may pick some up then. Those clubs though, so beautiful. Brand new old Persimmons. I need to take a picture at the pro-shop Tuesday when I play. It's something I maybe wanna do once a year. Just get out and chase it around like they did. Hell, I wish I could even get new period accurate balls to see the difference there too. -
They got four sets of handmade persimmons from a small club maker, and they are up for sale at the clubhouse. I would love to hit some, but not for $600. How are they to hit? How much harder than say a modern 3I or 3H. I imagine the difference must be ridiculous, but I never, ever got a chance to play them. Saw some of the old guys play em when I was younger, but I was a kid. By the time I was in my mid-late teens, I was playing Eye 2's, which weren't even the best tech at the time, But I loved those clubs. Incidentally they are the only Ping Iron I ever liked up to the i200's, which is what I really wanted this year. I hit em really well, but in canadian dollars they were just too much.($1400 f'in dollars with tax) (totally off topic)

I think well fitting athletic clothes should be allowed, and they basically are. I don't like the collar rule at most clubs either, but it is what it is, Not that I want to wear t-shirts, theres much more comfortable stuff that is just as classy.

Albatross? Gadot truly looks like a goddess in full regalia, it;s an excellent origin story, and fun, entertaining film.

Golf, as well as Star Trek: Bridge Crew just released for HTC Vive/Oculus on PC, so finally, FINALLY! I can command a starship with 3 of my closest (or completely unknown) friends. It really feels like i'm on the bridge of a Starfleet flagship. (I have a chair that feels very much like a Trek Captains chair looks like it would)

Even though i've broken 90 (and 80) in the past, I guess this is like starting over (not quite, I do have 20 years playing experience pre-injury), so what do I have to do to get the badge? I broke 90 this AM. Also @iacas how do I get LSW in Canada? Is there any plans for a kindle/ebook edition (I would prefer that), or if I want one signed, can I order through you?

Phils family travels with him often, so lets not pretend he's away 5 days a week while the family is at home. Every tourny his wife and kids are usually there. She has done something worthy of praise, and to say otherwise is ridiculous. Her dad took one tournament off for his daughter. Thats worthy of praise, not the ire and foolishness people like you are pushing on him.

Thank you. My dad wasn't an alcoholic, but he was a workaholic (and I got my competitiveness and athleticism from him), working to make sure I had everything I needed and wanted. Through no fault of his own, what he didn't realize was that what I wanted was more time with my father. I started hockey at 3 1/2, and played AAA from age 7 right through highschool, he worked three 12 hour shifts overtime a week to make sure there was money for travel, hotels, hockey sticks (my mom did the driving, taking me to games), making sure I had the best golf clubs in the summer. Memberships at both clubs around us. After I turned 16 he bought me a new car for hockey, golf, and to last me through university, so I could get around on my own. He paid the insurance the gas. I would have been happy with less than half of that, if he had spent more time with me. Thankfully we made up for it since I got out of university and he no longer had to work so hard to make sure I had everything he didn't. It makes me both sad that he thought that was what was important to me, and that he put his life on hold like that for almost 20 years. He would have climbed Everest to see me graduate, it was a source of pride for him, since he didn't graduate himself (but later got his GED, which was the same month I graduated, so we threw a big, big bash to celebrate). Now he's a journeyman in two trades. I'm proud of him. He's acting like Phils love for hiss family isn't genuine. He's being ludicrous, and thats the nicest way I can put it. Phil is doing what a father should do. Hopefully he'll understand that someday. Acting like graduating 12 years of school doesn't merit dad being there to watch is just idiotic, at best/.

The idea that he should miss his daughters graduation to play golf is ridiculous. US Open-> Every Year Childs HS Grad-> Once. One ****ing time. The culmination ~18 years of parenting and trying to steer your kids the right way, and an extremely important day to the person graduation, who also happens to to be giving a commencement speech. Anyone who thinks he should have played has no kids in their lives. I have no kids of my own (wife can't have kids), but my nephew, the one in my avatar, who is 6yo now, I'd miss anything to watch him graduate. Especially since he was born with a major heart condition and had 4 open heart surgeries so far. Makes you realize how important and precious the life of a child is. Far more important than ANY damned golf tournament.

I broke 90 in a big way. I'm getting back quicker than I expected. Shot 84 this morning. I traded out my 3i for a hybrid, and it made all the difference in the world. Two birdies, one on a par 4, the other on a very short Par 3 (108 yards over a pond). but I was 3 off the tee three times on three holes, but they were just bad swings. Strengthening my grip has really helped my driving, as I drove well most of the day.

Wonder Woman was absolutely spectacular. As a long time collector of comics, I could not ask for a better portayal. Movie was amazing start to finish.
-
If he had decided to play, the same people deriding him as a phony would be doing so for that as well. "OH, I thought he was a family man". Sometimes I wonder what makes "fans" so hateful/
-
Which is why I said "I believe...". Besides that, he'd be an idiot not to.. he's healing, not golfing. Using hgh after surgery is not against any golf rule I know of.
