  1. Sure did, and thanks!
  2. ^ Good point! Also, for everyone wondering if he can win again (very few now) let’s not forget that he won five (5) times in 2013. Only 5 years ago, and that was his last ‘normal’ schedule year.
  3. It might seem pendantic, but the only issue I have with this thread is the word ‘wreck’ in the title. I would change it to ‘limit’, ‘restrict’, and/or ‘complicate’, to make it a more correct hypothesis. The swing obviously has to be there, but poorly fit or unforgiving clubs will keep you from reaching your max potential. By how much is a function of how poor or poorly fit the sticks are, I think.
  4. Yeah, I’m not buying it. I’ve still not broken 100, but have come close. I’ve tried this before. I shot 105 on a short course. This strategy kept me from shooting 115 or 120, but I won’t get into the 90’s, let alone break 90 without my driver. My two best scores, and several others that were close, were all playing with all of my clubs, including driver.
  5. What I thought was interesting was that she had an eagle on a par 5 in her second round. Holed out from 115. Pretty nifty! That and the three birdies in a row on her back nine.
  6. I’ve never met him, but it seems very likely that he’s nice, gracious, engaging, and cool most of the time, to most people. Probably cool to have a pint with. It’s obvious that he also snaps on people with little or no provocation, has a heavy chip on his shoulder, and relishes conflict. Both images of him are not mutually exclusive. But consider this point.. Its easy to be nice and likable when everything is going fine, and there’s no stressor. When people get under pressure, they show their true colors. Two sides of a coin (like all of us), but if one side is disproportionately impactful to others, particularly in a negative way, it can’t be ignored.
  7. Damn, that would have been helpful.
  8. Tiger just needs an eagle too, and he’ll win in the playoff that seems inevitable, now.
  9. OK, so it won’t be a runaway. He’s alright!
  10. Lol ‘Lucky Boy’ Xander.
  11. Rory -5 now. NBC might want to send over a camera....
  12. I mean, I have the same brain disease we all have. And this is straight up history, win or lose! Glad to be up with y’all!
  13. The first 3 rounds, I tried to stay up and watch, but I kept falling asleep and missing most of it. I’m glued and wide awake now.
  14. He better make this damn putt!
  15. Man... Spieth in the deep doo doo there! Getting interesting!!!
  16. Two things: 1) While the stats surely bear out that we are all in far more danger riding in a car each time we do it than we are playing golf, it’s a bit of a straw man argument. We ride in cars MANY more times than we are on golf courses. While freak accidents and drunk or reckless drivers do exist, we have control of what our car does while driving. And there is an entire industry with government regulations governing vehicle safety. No control or safety measures on the course and no prediction at all of a wild golf shot. In both cases however, the odds of serious injury in a given instance are pretty darn low, to the level that either should not be actively ‘worried about’. 2) Holy thread revival! The kids mentioned in this specific thread are all now in high school, or grown adults by now!
  17. What adds some intrigue to this whole thing is that his finish in the QL qualified him for the Open, and he is in the mix, as of now. If he wins, this incident will get even more attention. If he doesn’t end up contending on the weekend, this will probably be generally forgotten. Interesting stuff!
  18. I’m no expert, good player, or swing guru, but I’m pretty sure that hands forward at address for driver is actually the best, and is present in virtually every good player. Looks like you’re on the right track to me! Good luck keeping them straight!
