  1. Tried to get one from discount dan's golf just before I bought my current driver....none available. This driver gets great reviews over at golfwrx.com
  2. The Callaway Warbird bags are outstanding. I really enjoyed the one I had...my son has it now. I went for a larger bag as I wanted 14 full length dividers for my oversized grips. I didn't care about the legs as the ranges I use have bag racks at each station.
  3. For my slower swingspeed the 5wood works better than a 2 hybrid.
  4. I've been fitted a few times for clubs. Fitters have said +1"--+1.25" on wedges and irons but stock on woods. They said many of the current woods are overlength off the rack.
  5. I made the mistake of throwing a lob wedge in the bag and not giving it the proper respect due and practice with it. They are different animals and take some serious familiarization. Great clubs, though. Make sure you get one with enough bounce.
  6. I personally like the same size grip on every club. If I were going to run different size grips, I'd certainly have the larger grips on the wedges. Tour Velvet midsize grips are very low priced nice grips. You'll be glad you went with a midsize or even larger.
  7. Because they have the means and the desire to own a tour issued putter. Folks collect high dollar ink pens when they could write just as well using a $2 pen. Collectors love their collectables...no mysteries here.
  8. I agree completely.
  9. $30....I'd be more concerned that it was stolen.
  10. Exactly....best looking wedges I've seen.
  11. The G10 was the best head I've ever had. I'm still kicking myself for selling it. I grew to not like the shaft and jumped on another bandwagon. The G10 with the right shaft for you is a superb driver. It was certainly the longest stick I've owned.
  12. 2 off the first tee is fairly customary with the groups I play in. After that it's play the ball down.
  13. Brewed fairly strong, cold, sweetened with Splenda and over ice. Lemon and mint leaves are great if available.
  14. Not for me....I like mine installed the conventional way. I think it'd be highly counterproductive to put the NDMC grips on "backwards". The wrap contour and postiions of the different textured sections are well placed for my hands. I guess on Tour Velvets and other types it really doesn't matter.
  15. Save the money....skip the 4i. That depends on your swing speed, though. If you are actually cranking it....then maybe....but for the average joe....skip it. My current set was the very first that wasn't 3-PW. I took advice from numerous sources and ordered my current set without a 3i and 4i...and added GW and SW instead. This proved to be a rare stroke of genius on my part !!!!!!! I actually use the wedges for the various distance gaps and they do translate to better scoring. I wansn't properly seeing the gaps at the long end of the bag. I opted to go with my 4H which picks up nicely where the 5i drops off once I bought one that has the same shaft as my irons. I skipped the 3i slot and added a LW instead. I'm very happy with the current line up and feel like I really did the right thing.
  16. I can honestly say that I've never seen this as an issue. I've got a dozen or so that have been in my bag for over a year now....and they look new. I'm only going to get 3 rounds (at most) out of a ball anyway...not so much from wear but due to loss (I'm a hack and play courses with many water hazards).
  17. Bonaventure Discount Golf and also U,S. Golf....both on Bobby Jones Expswy in Augusta, Ga.
  18. Cool app. I just found it at the iPhone app store for $5.99. I can see where this would be useful.
  19. I played last year for the first time. It was a lot of fun...did fairly well early but sort of burned out later on. I didn't get into it this year.
  20. Maybe a Leguna model???
  21. Never tried these. How did the original Solo balls perform?
  22. The G15 certainly isn't going to win any beauty contests. The comment about the forward press is so true. For some reason I tend to overdo this.
  23. The translucent effect is due to the type of paint you use. Check over on the golfwrx.com forums for more experienced insight. I don't blame you...the cost of these modifications can be high.
  24. Try the simple phrase "swing the grip". Think in those terms and you'll get a feel.
  25. Haven't had the problem with driver...YET, but do it occasionally with 3-wood from the fairway sometimes. I find that's when I'm overswinging and not maintaining my posture. I'll be tense and the club doesn't release as planned but on a higher path. My cure is to take an athletic stance but relax my left shoulder and watch the imact. Good luck...it can be really frustrating when oddball stuff like this shows up.
