Wilson Staff FG Tour balls on sale for 19.99! Awesome ball for that price. Soft feel and great spin. -
I have a leupold gx-3. I absolutley love it. The red led display makes it very easy to read in any condition. It has Improved my approach shots immensely by allowing me choose my clubs more wisely. The course yardages are often far off from the ground marker.

I have the adams wedge set. It is indeed an excellent set of wedges. I hit all the necessary shots with the 56 and 60 around the greens. The 52 is a good 90-100yd gap wedge for me. I sold a taylormade rac 60 a while back and honestly prefer the adams 60. For value clubs they are excellent and will serve you well for a long time. My only complaint was the grip. They are a little cheesy so I swapped mine for lamkin crossline

If you do not like the rust on the wedges or return them to the black oxide finish you can clean the rust away with a brass bristle brush or some light grit sand paper. (1500-2000 grit) to restore the black oxide (also known as bluing) visit brownells.com and search for ortho-blu. It is a DYI bluing salt that you rub on the bare metal and it turns the metal back to black. The more you rub, the deeper the finish. All bluing requires a very very thin coat of oil over the surfaces to prevent it from rusting. Just wipe off before play and your wedges will always stay beautifully black.... this product is very cheap and last forever. I use it routinely on gun parts and have never had an issue. Good luck

No... I refuse to believe that it is an advantage to use long putters. It is perfectly legal for everyone to do so currently. If it were a major advatage more people would adopt that style of putting. When the rule change takes affect these players wil find another way to sink puts that they are comfortable with....Kuchar. I use a long putter because I am partial to the weight. For tournament s in the future I will use a heavier conventional putter.... until then I will not change my way. It makes the game more enjoyable to me.

What Does the Average Weekend Golfer Shoot?
LettucePray27 replied to SLeDHeaDDude800's topic in Golf Talk
I at least try to play 9 holes once a week which is pretty difficult to fit into my schedule. But only get out to play 18 once or twice a month max. I average +5-8 for nine holes and +15-20 for 18... I like to think that I am very much an average golfer. I'm a short hitter, even by internet standards, but I really enjoy the short game, making it a point to practice chipping for 15 minutes or so at least three days a week. -
3w or 5w to get over the hazzards.. 7iron for mid range.. putter... You can play chips shots with the 7 and bump and runs with the 3w...choke up on either and open the fave a little on the 7 you should have a variety of shots you can play. Just don't leave the putter at home.

I fight a very in to out path with my driver and woods causing me to hit it off the toe more often than not. This greatly reduces the backspin on the ball, but gives it severe hook spin.... To combat this I tweaked my adress position per my instructors advise. I address the ball toward the heel which gives me a center strike on the face and a beautiful ball flight more times than not... To find the right impact I use DR SCHOLES FOOT SPRAY on the clubface during all my practice sessions. It helps me monitor the impact without scratching my head as to if my path had changed. Yesterday I had a few strikes closer to the heel that would produce a fade and a few toe strikes for a hook. Once I found the center i was hitting the ball beautiful....

The past two weekends has gotten me fed up with my swing.... on my local course 70.5/122 , I went 12 over on the front and 5 over on the back.. Frustrated with the front but happy with the back.. One week later, same course 18 over on the front and 5 over on the back.. Seriously, I wanted to hang it up for the season, but luckily for me I was forced to take time off because I injured my foot the following day.. luck has not been on my side!

alternatives to impact tape
LettucePray27 replied to Sacman's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
It does work very well on all clubs. I usually play my round with my driver coated if I am struggling so I can make adjustments on the fly.... wipes off easy with a damp towel and smells great! -
Taylormade R1 12*, 3*open Adams F12 3 3&5 woods Adams 3&4 hybrids Callaway razr x 5-pw Adams SW & LW 48" Odyssey Dart Metal-X Qstar and e5

It really depends on your swing speed and how agressive you are thru your swing as far as the shaft is concerned. I play a regular flex shaft in an R1, with the loft set at 12*. If you are a slower swinger like myself (although I am 29 and fit) the high loft will help you generate spin which then translates to a little better carry distance. Best thig to do is to find a pro or a shop near you with a launch monitor and see where you stand... I may be a good setup for you, it may not. Get fit and it will save you headaches down the road.

LettucePray27 replied to Mr. Desmond's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Even though the taylormade R1 is the beat piece of equipment that I bought this year and it has taken my game to a different level, I will have to vote Callaway. Their impressive r&d; has left a huge foot print in this years marketplace with top notch products for players of all skill level -

Greens in regulation will set you up with birdie opportunities...dont feel pressure to sink the bird, if you lag it close you have a par.. Chipping..chipping...chipping.... get a hula hoop and try to chip into the circle from various distances and lies.. make it fun..

After every shot i wipe the club face with a damp microfiber towel... and soap and water after every round. Especially the grips inorder to restore the tacky feeling.
