  1. Shot 2 under par at one of the local courses today, Castlemore Golf & CC . It was a great day for playing golf . All of my shots were more consistent than usual, good round overall.
  2. Yeah. One of the best responses I've seen on this thread, given my experience of working on a course as well... There should be no teaching, or lessons given on the course as it can slow down play. As for tips, those can be done while moving towards the next shot as previously mentioned.
  3. Why you asking for anyway?
  4. I always try to stay in the 8.5* and 9* range...
  5. , I meant its pretty hard to get a set like those these days, for me anyway ...
  6. Yeah, that's true. I'd suggest getting some cheaper used clubs, nothing wrong with that at all...
  7. That's great news for the guy, my hats off to him...
  8. 1) My favorite club in my bag is my Forged 660 7 iron, although I love ALL of my clubs, this is by far my favorite because I simply love hitting it ... 2) I've already got it, my forged 660 irons , Original Bulls Eye putter , PTM woods , and my Vokey Oil Can Spin Milled wedges...
  9. Nice, if I had the chance to get those irons, man I'd be happy . Even though I've never played them, I trust those are some great clubs. I'd love to get a vintage set like those ...
  10. I chose 12+ mistakenly, thinking how much I've made my entire life only before I read how much it asked for in 1 ROUND. In one round, the most I've ever made was 9. 4 on the front, and 5 on the back nine ...
  11. My driver doesn't match any of my other clubs, but my woods and hybrids do match, and I have no reason for having it that way. That was just how my clubs came to be...
  12. Aside from my putter, all my grips are the same...
  13. Great, I'll be looking forward to that review...
  14. Well, if you really like those Mizuno blades you've tried, why not look for Mizuno's instead of Nike, Callaway, or Taylormade? I've hit mizuno blades before, and the feel combined with the control they gave me was great. I suggest getting fitted for Mizuno blades, IF you really think that's what's best for your game right now...
  15. That was random, but I've got nothing against what colour a glove is, although I prefer white...
  16. I used to use a 5 wood, but started using the hybrid just this year. I've got no regrets ...
  17. I'm not a Nike fan in golf, but I must admit I'm pretty curious to see these clubs as well...
  18. I use FST KB Tour shafts in 5.5 frequency, its become my favorite shafts for my irons...
  19. I can agree with others: Ernie Els Sergio Garcia Robert Karlsson Lee Westwood
  20. I haven't noticed this trend either, for the courses up here in canada anyway. Besides, rake or no rake, I don't find it a big deal at all...
  21. I don't have a perfect golf swing since I always try to improve every aspect of my swing... I practice day and night on my swing, practice, practice, practice, practice...
  22. Yep. That's exactly what I meant by using the hip, using that left hip to start the downswing movement... Hey ben, how many years are you into apprenticeship?
  23. I believe that a mid handicapper should keep tempo as one of the main focuses, rather than thinking too much about swing mechanics. Focus on your tempo, and work on other basic skills as well as keeping course management in mind. What I like to keep in mind a lot when playing are my movements, especially movements made by my hips...
  24. Wow, I've read a lot of the posts in this thread... First and foremost, I will not judge who is better, as I believe legends of this game cannot be compared, as each of them were truly great. I also think this thread has somewhat argued tradition vs technology, old vs new, past vs present. Its almost argued which era of golf is better? I for one, liked the game as it was many years ago(may or may not have been better compared to today's game), with the likes of Bobby Jones, Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Palmer, Player, Nicklaus, Mickey Wright, Tom Watson, and so many others. I wonder at the thought of how some(A FEW) don't even know who these players are. Don't get me wrong, technology has put the game to a new level, but I still and always will prefer the more traditional era's of golf. I understand how some people have golf heroes(mainly Tiger Woods; he's far from my favorite, but he's a predator on the course) from today's era, and I respect that. I'm simply stating my own thoughts and opinions like yourself. Golf is the game we all love and adore, now that is something we can all agree on...
  25. A few hours ago, a friend of mine gave me a pair of brown leather loafers. They even have the tassels on them. I'm absolutely in love with them, they look so traditional(which I love) , yet are in brand new condition. He apparently got them online. This new pair now brings me up to 4 pairs of shoes...
