  1. You need an explanation for it? How old are you? 16?
  2. Gotcha. That train kind of reminds me of the train from the movie, Stand by Me. (hopefully I'm not aging myself too bad with that movie reference). I would probably stop to look at it too.
  3. No kidding. Personally, I think it's kind of neat. I agree. This particular "distraction" wouldn't bother me.
  4. This is probably the worst written thing I've read in a while. And that's saying something.
  5. Yeah, that's bad. I don't understand why some people think they can get nice, new golf clubs for half, or less than half the price. Especially considering that it's now well known that there are plenty of "discount" places selling fake clubs. Here you have a guy wanting to buy an R9 SuperDeep, which you can't find new for under $300 right now. This guy probably paid around $200 for the fake, thinking he was getting a steal. And he thought it would be a legit club?
  6. ummmmmm, grow a pair and go buy them yourself?
  7. Here in Minnesota, he'd be charged with a felony for that. (no joke )
  8. I will agree w/ this. Sanchez isn't that good. Edwards drops a lot of balls. Slaton won't see the field that much. And Benson WILL end up being a top 10 back this year. Other than all of that, it's a good trade....................... (I must ask. Are you a newbie to FF?)

    tosh.o

Anyone catch a recent show when he was ripping soccer? That's some funny stuff. "Even though I know nothing about soccer, other than it's unwatchable........." "Why would I be interested in a sport that I mastered at age 7"?
  10. Definitely the 60* wedge. MOST amateurs simply don't need one. (Not to make this a discussion about that again) And, like most here agree on, that 5 wood doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose. I also have that Sumo2 3 hybrid and I absolutely love it.
  11. A couple years ago, when my HCP was double what it is now, I would play in our clubs 3 & 4 man scramble tournaments. My playing partners all had HCP's of 19 or worse. I ended up getting a closest to the hole on one par three and also the longest putt on one Par 4 hole. My group also won the first flight. The head pro, after having announced what I and my group won, said allowed about me, "I'm going to be double checking your HCP". Then he handed me about $300 in prize money. That was a good day and good feeling.
  12. Earlier this year. It was probably the craziest day I've ever had golfing. 46/34 Needless to say my front nine was absolutely horrendous. I couldn't do anything right. However, instead of getting all upset and worked up about it, I stayed calm and collected and proceeded to tear up the back nine. Stay positive folks!

    Madden

I just had to ask. Folks in New Zealand give a sh*t about our NFL football? Hummmm. I would never have guessed it. Oh, and yes, I bought this year's Madden the day of release on PS3. It's my first Madden that I've bought in two seasons. After about two days w/ it, I think I made a good choice in getting this year's edition. It's a great game all around.
  14. What are you smoking? Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Gopher hockey, but you can't argue w/ their history. Check the beginning of this decade and get back to me on that...... I'm not a big fan of Gopher hockey because I went to college at Minnesota State - Mankato where we had our own Division I hockey team. Our boys would always give the Gophers a good fight. But don't give me this stuff about Minnesota kids not being good at hockey. My god. Minnesota is the state of hockey. I know I haven't paid a lot of attention to college hockey in a few years, but how do you figure the best players from Minnesota want to or go to Wisconsin? In my limited knowledge of college hockey in the past couple of years, I know the Gophers have been down. But don't fool yourself in thinking they'll remain down.
  15. Tsk tsk. Is the Gopher really considered a rodent? No..........................
  16. I golf right handed, but I'm a natural lefty. So, my putter is left handed because I cannot putt right handed near as good as I can putting w/ my natural way. Why golf right handed you ask? Well, I figured it was easier to totally start from scratch when I started golfing shortly after high school. I didn't want my baseball swing hindering my golf swing, and vice versa. BUT, putting is a different story. My natural way gives me more of a fluid putting motion and better touch.
  17. Sorry Cheesehead. You've got at least another year to wait................
  18. I was going to ask this. The first or second year of my golfing "career", I was playing by myself and hit a hybrid into a green while the pair of guys in front of me were walking off the green on the right side. Of course I ended up slicing it and the ball ended up about 10 yards away from their cart. The one guy picks my ball up and pockets it. Lesson learned.......... I was wrong in what I did, so what could I have done?
  19. If he wasn't a Viking, I would really, really loathe the guy and just despise him. But, since the success of the Vikings is pretty dependent on a healthy Favre, I can't hold TOO BAD of feelings about the guy. Even if I think he's an attention •••••, and yes, even comparable to LeBron......... W/ all that said, I honestly am not that worried about him coming back or not. I think this latest "episode" is nothing and means nothing. He will be back in purple to win another Super Bowl, and Minnesota's first!
  20. Hey, don't let anything stop you. Bring it on, Badger boy.
  21. All the negativity in this place about the bracelets just sucks. As I said before, I wear mine mostly because I like the way it looks. BUT, again, as I said before, there looks to be some evidence linking "improved physical health and well being" to SOME of these bracelets. I have a Power Balance bracelet. Google it and read some reviews on them. Do I believe that the bracelet really does anything for me? I would honestly say it's very possible, but I won't say it does or not. I've had a lingering hamstring issue in my right leg that has seemed to clear up nicely since I've had the bracelet. Has my golf game improved since I've worn one? Actually, no, it hasn't. Did I get one of these bracelets to improve my golf game? Nope. Take what you will out of all that.............
  22. It's all good bud. You said some nice things about the U of M students/fans and I will second that by echoing that about Wisconsin students/fans. As you know, football and hockey are huge up here and our two schools/states go full bore against each other in both sports. It's always fun to watch, that's for sure. And don't get me started on Gopher football. Even during the Monson years when we had Barber/Maroney and we were actually a relevent footabll team we would still find ways to piss big games down our leg. Like the Badger games, for instance. Or Ohio State games.
  23. As a Minnesota guy I could blast you for the incorrect choice of words in your post, and then make the correlation that ALL Wisconsin fans/people are idiots. But, I won't........
  24. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the Gopher/Badger rivalry is on the same level as the Mich/OSU rivalry. I simply noted the age. And yes, I think that matters in a true, big time, rivalry.
  25. I too, hit my irons high. 170 out would be a 5 iron for me which I would hit right at the pin. I envision hitting it beyond the flag about 5 yards w/ a few yards of back spin on the ball. I wouldn't care what kind of hazards there are or where the hazards are at. You go flag hunting!
