  1. I bought the MX-100's at the beginning of this year and I was at a 30 handicap, I'm now at a 25 handicap, they helped me right off the bat. I'm also taking lessons from a great instructor, but the Clubs were noticably better for me.
  2. Tour Tempo has a new player that hooks to your ear. I got mine this weekend and I like it a lot. No more annoying cord to get tangled, and it comes with some new short game tempos that work really well for me.
  3. Geat Job! I broke 100 back in November and Hope to Break 90 by fall. Don't expect to break 100 everytime. I did and it can be disappointing when you don't.
  4. Practice without hitting balls first. I had trouble at the range with it. hitting balls and listening was too much for me. I did notice an improvement very quickly. I started taking lessons and quit using while in the lessons. The cool thing is that my instructor is John Rhodes he taught the author some of the drills he explains in the book.

    Eagles?

I got my first Eagle last Friday! It was on a par 5
  6. Welcome. I'm from North Ft.Worth myself
  7. That is cool, I went to the tournament earlier this month, I'd love to play there.
  8. : ) that's ok. I enjoyed the comments that followed. I used to ride a bike and that is a goofy look, ankles and both hands. Although the golfers Glove tan is very "Jacksonish"
  9. Well...I hang my arm out the window when I'm driving to offset that.
  10. It was probably this: Phil, "Good Morning." Steve, "Sorry about all that shit" Phil" No Prob, good Luck."
  11. Yeah we have one with five 3's, five 5's and eight 4's as well. Two of the Par 3's are over 230 yards. Hogan and Byron Nelson played here back in the day. It has tiny greens, but it is a fun course. http://www.glengarden.net/
  12. I've been playing 9 months and my personal best is a 93.
  13. I was thinking of getting a 5 wood. I had to quit hitting my Nike Hybrids, all of a sudden I started Hooking them bad, They had been my go to club, until recently. I liked them so much I had a 2, 4 5 and 6.
  14. When I hit my Irons flush it is wonderful, especially if it's a long iron like a 3 or 4. I wish it happened more often : ) At the GolfSmith they sell Demo 6 Irons for $5 every once and a while. I bought a Mizuno Blade, and I agree hitting it flush was awesome, wish I had the Game to use them.
  15. final day, this was more fun than I expected.
  16. boo cost me a few points as well on that... I hope he can overcome it.
  17. At this point in my game I seldom leave a ball mark (once or twice a round) but I always try to fix any I see, as long as I don't bother people or slow game play down.
  18. Most people don't understand the rules. I didn't. The rule book can be confusing at times. The people I play with all just drop where it went out and add a stroke. If everyone is doing that I don't see the problem it keeps things even. Since I've decided to join a league I figured I needed to learn the rules properly, and only recently saw this rule.
  19. I joined! team ~ Ramin
  20. 54* Cleveland Wedge deadly around 100 yards.
  21. Super day yesterday! I finally broke 100 (i've been playing since last April) I shot a 93 . it was a great feeling I only hit 1 green in regulation, but hit 10 fairway (there are only 13 total at this course) I played at Glen Gardens in Ft. Worth, I like to think Mr. Hogan was helping me.
  22. That was a very enjoyable play-off. McIlroy looked great. He and Lin Wen-tang both hit some amazing shots out of those trees.
  23. I just played the front 9 at Iron Horse Saturday and shot a 46 . I normally shoot 58 or 59, so this was big for me. I had only 1 penalty stroke. The back 9 is usually about 8 strokes easier for me. I am well pleased, my lowest total score was a 103 and that was 58/45.
  24. I hear you there I had a horrible round yesterday but on one hole (378 yd. par 4) I hit a 290 yard drive in the fairway, it was like I was taking a practice swing (no feeling from the hit) I have a GPS so the distance was correct. I follow it with a blade off the toe to the right of the green...etc and end up with a 6.
  25. I shot 114 yesterday; 61/53, it was a very frustrating day (6) penalty strokes for balls in hazards and water. Hard to keep putting all the effort into it.
