I've been using a push/pull cart from the beginning of my golf ''career''. I'm 27 , and started playing at 15 and i'm in good shape. Does that mean that i'm lazy or not strong enough to carry? Well...no. I don't really get how some people see push/pull carts as something that's only for people who have back problems or people who don't have enough endurance. A lot of guys have back problems , ok... but you don't have to have back problems to use one. Except for some older members , i'd say 90% of the members at my club push or pull. the others just ride.

I went to the range a few times a year for 4-5 years , the last of those years i was getting more serious about golf. It was just for fun before that . I played a local 9 hole par 3 course a dozen times before finally playing my first 18. I shot 98 , which i'm still very proud of. I have been playing about 10-15 times a year since that , regularly shooting in the low 90's. This year , Working at a very nice ( and tough ! ) course has helped my game a lot. I'm now playing in the low 80's and hoping for more. I love playing golf for free !

I keep the clear plastic enveloppe when I buy a glove . Just Fold the glove the same way it was when you bought it ,place it in the clear enveloppe , and keep it in there until your next round. I never had a crusty glove .

Oh my...what a class act . Some people just don't know how to treat a course. He probably doesn't repair his divots in the fairways and his ball marks on the greens too... Reminds me of the guy wearing metal spikes ( on a course that doesn't allow them ) last week...judging by the marks he left on ALL the greens , he probably never lifts his feet off the ground to walk !

Driver : I'd say about 5 ...I'm not a long hitter , about 250 , but i'm hitting about 75% of fairways this year. Has Always been the best part of my game Putting : 20... I used to be a 1056 , but i really practiced and got better fast. Still averaging 35 putts though... Full wedge : 15...could be better , could be worse . Chips: 10...close enough to have a chance to save...but sometimes leaves tough par putts. I'm good in the sand though ! Irons: 7...I'm hitting the ball well , and have good distance control with my irons , i'm confident with my mid/long irons.

NHL for me...no question !

I was wondering about that too , The ''old '' bite was a good ball , but not durable enough.

The Iron Numbering/Loft Marketing Swindle
FairwayFrank replied to B-Con's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I hope Taylormade doesn't start a trend of making lofts stronger for irons .If that happens and other companies start doing the same , then i would like to have both the number and the loft on the club. You don't have to stamp the loft right besides the number , just stamp it on the hosel or the heel of the club , just put it anywhere , so we know we aren't being fooled. -
How long do you go before getting a new driver?
FairwayFrank replied to svchiefs19's topic in Golf Talk
I've ben playing with my TM R580xd for 7 years now...After hitting some balls with a client's '09 burner , i realized i could gain 10 or so yards, so i'm looking for a new one... -
Weather forecast says we're getting 9 inches of snow on wednesday...It may sound weird to some of you...but i love snow...and i work at an indoor virtual golf facility / golf school so i still get to hit balls all day , and still go play hockey after work.

An escape is a great little utility vehicle , but i was just pointing out how you were saying '' once again Ford is better '' , just because your Escape can take 10 bags when a 350Z can barely take one. You're comparing a utility vehicle with a sports car... I'm pretty sure a Nissan x-Terra or a Murano can take as many bags as an Escape , and that doesn't necessarily mean those 2 are better than a ford...
-
I'm sure you could fit a bag in there , maybe you'll have to take out the longer clubs for it to fit... Is your Ford Escape a 300 hp sports coupe ? Can it do 0-60 in 5 seconds?
-
I would say yes , that is a good buy. I use a 60 deg rac wedge myself , and i'm definitely happy about it. 65$ is a good deal too.

18th hole at Le Victorien , north of Montreal. As you can see by all the water on the fairway...this was right after the biggest storm of the year. My 2nd shot on the par 4 2nd at Inverness GC , in Bromont . 140y 9 iron. Crappy quality , but one of my best shots.

That is a Great deal , thank you very much. I was kind of scared they wouldn't ship to Cananda but they do!

Just outside Montreal , in Laval , we have ''golf UFO'' that is open 24/7 in the summer time. There's a driving range , two 9 holes par 3 , and one 9 holes par 4's and 3's. It's pretty cool to play at 3AM !

Didn't see the fight , but i was more interested in the fight before that , between Soto and Gaudet. I have seen Gaudet fight a few times here ( he's from Quebec ), and i was really hoping he would surprise Soto. It didn't happen , but i think he left a good impression! Kinda sucks when the main fight is so short , i feel bad for those who pay the big price , only to see the fight last a round and a half!

How do you stay in the moment when you have a good start?
FairwayFrank replied to chsinn's topic in Golf Talk
What i always do when i play , is not keep track of the score. Of course i count all my strokes and i can remember what i shot on the 9th hole if you ask me on the 18th , but i never look back on my scorecard to count if i'm 1 over , or 10 over after any given number of holes. I NEVER check my score at the turn , mostly because i somewhat know what kind of round i'm shooting at that point that day , but also becasue if i'm having a good one , it wont stay in my head for the other 9 holes...It kinda works for me , then again...i have a long way to go to get my handicap as low as yours , so maybe it's different when you play in the -'s ! I never know how much i shot until i get at the bar with a beer in my hands. -
After about 2 summers of fooling around on the range just for fun , i played 98 on my first 18 holes. Mind you , it wasn't a very tough course by any means , but i was still veeeeery happy.

For most amateurs, the best wood in the bag...the pencil! -- Chi Chi Rodriguez Playing golf is like going to a strip joint. After 18 holes you're tired and most of your balls are missing. -- Tim Allen

Hey...i'm going to get flamed here...But I hope he wins a major one day , so all you haters find somedy else to pick at. Of course his ''spitting in the cup'' incident is stupid and unacceptable , i'm not denying that...but as for this thread's subject , he was only asked what he thought of the course , and he said what was on his mind. He doesn't like the course...SO WHAT! You guys think he's the only one to not like the changes Augusta did a few years back? Tiger said it's not the same as it was before , i remember reading Jack and Palmer saying the same in golf digest ( august 2006 , page 133 ). I saw Chad Campbell spit at least 4-5 times on Camera this weekend. I mean...get over it! As for some of you guy's comments on what you plan to do to throw him off his game when he come's back to NY , you guy's are worst than him , in the same category as the twit who yells '' get in the hole!''... I like him because he stands out in a crowd of boring , politically correct golfers who don't want to risk saying anything that people won't like. /rant Frank.

Too bad the masters's official site doesn't think it's important enough for us Canadians to watch... ''The service is not available in your area'' ...Great!

That is truly awesome! And so true!

I'm in the 97-98 range. I usually hit it 250 yards or so.
