  1. HRV points toward recovery more than sleep from what I have seen. My sleep is always high but my recovery may or may not be. 101, nice! I was talking to a friend of mine and his is always high. He showed me a screenshot from yesterday and it was 115. I made it a point to look at my strain this morning when I woke up but before I got moving around much. It was 0.0 as well so I believe you’re correct on hitting the heart rate threshold. I have just never looked at it that quickly.
  2. That's the way I am leaning. I'm going to play with this scenario for a few weeks and just see what happens. I should notice a difference in "feel" if I am truly gaining that much recovery. I'll ask some friends who have been using it a while as well.
  3. So my question is, should I do some sort of workout every night to keep my recovery number up? Or is the number a bit misleading BECAUSE I workout at night? I'm confused now..lol That might be it. I probably get by that threshold quickly as well. Especially with the idiots I have to drive around on my commute to work.
  4. It is odd that it seems to work any time outside of the morning. On a side not, I did a little workout again last night and today my recovery is at 90%!. And my HRV is at 90, where it is usually mid 50s or so. I'm going to keep an eye on this but it seems if I just sit at home and don't do much, the next day my recovery is lower. If I do a little workout of some sort, my recovery is higher the next day. Does that make any sense?
  5. I would email them. I'm fairly certain that I got scores even in the 5 day window. As a matter of fact, I'm positive you should still be getting scores. My wife did and she has only had hers a week, I think. Regardless of the calibration, it will still be reading something...
  6. I paid for a pre-order as well. And you are right, it's twice as much
  7. As many of us know, Full Swing has been in the simulator business for quite some time. From my experience, their simulators have been top notch and seem pretty accurate. So I have faith in their ability to create a high end product. It only makes sense that they jump into the launch monitor line of products and it seems this jump is coming into fruition in 2021. I received an email days ago inviting me to get in on the pre-sale of the Full Swing Launch Monitor kit for 100.00. I have been somewhat in the market for a simulator or launch monitor offering for a little while but just have not pulled the trigger. With this in mind, the email peaked my interests. From my reading, it looks like they worked with one of the main faces of Full Swing, Tiger Woods, in developing the launch monitor. This only adds to my interests. So far, this is what I see: -It utilizes Machine Learning Enhanced radar -OLED screen with customizable heads up display -1080p HD Camera for swing video capture -Lithium Ion battery -15 data points after every swing including carry and total distance, launch angle, spin rate, angle of attack, club speed, ball speed, smash factor,etc.. -No leveling calibration -No metal stickers needed -Cloud based storage for club/ ball data history and swing videos -App for use across all of your devices -Like other launch monitors, you can use it indoors/outdoors and for simulator play on your favorite courses. The price comes in at 3999.00. Compared to the SkyTrak or Mevo+, it is a bit more expensive. I do not believe its overly expensive though, but I'll save that final decision once the unit actually comes out and a comparison can be made against other devices in this market. I wanted to post up some info since I made the pretty vague post earlier in the Mevo thread but also just to get it out there as a new product coming out. You can reserve one for a fully refundable price of 100.00. https://www.fullswinggolf.com/kit-pre-sale/#open
  8. I really don't understand how anyone could "deny" that it is a legit thing. Your opinion is your opinion on some things but not believing it is real is just not factual.
  9. I agree @iacas about the correlation. I actually just had that conversation with my wife. I was telling her that my sleep has been surprisingly very good. I did not think I was sleeping that well and it was leading to my lack of recovery. Since using the whoop, I see that is not the case at all. So it is now going to put me on the trail of what will increase my recovery more in the future and that will make me feel even better. About today's recovery, it's higher than normal yet I ran a mile last night, worked on some pull-up progressions, and rowed 500m. It was not a super intense workout at all, but just a light, get the body moving type of thing. Odd (or is it?) that one of my highest recovery days came after a lighter type workout. One thing I have really followed is the strain suggestions. I usually just do whatever workout I have planned whether it falls in my max suggested strain or not... The thing that whoop is starting to teach me is that I do not know as much as I thought I did. Oh and my wife bought her a whoop as well. She has been using it for a week now.
  10. Not a favorite but I ran across it yesterday and thought it was funny: "I love golfing in the rain because, then, no one can see my crying." Also ran across this one from Feherty a few weeks ago: "Watching Phil Mickelson play golf is like watching a drunk chasing a balloon near the edge of a cliff" But one of my favorites is from Sam Snead: Of all the hazards, fear is the worst."
  11. Agreed. I have tons of hats. I also saw somewhere on Youtube, they have a hat spray that stops the sweat marks from appearing.
  12. My sleep is normally pretty good. It's in the mid 90s usually, but recovery average for 7 days is 47%. Granted I had an outlier in there where I had to get up super early Wednesday so I did not get much rest. But even a normal week, my recovery isn't that great. Mid 50s.
  13. I need to read up on how to improve my numbers. So far, I have just been watching the numbers to see the trends. My recovery today was 78% and I believe that is the highest it has been.
  14. Agreed. Once more practice time has been put in on the setups, these thoughts will not be filling his mind. I think the competitor comments just added to an already existing mental confusion and was then treated as a scapegoat of sorts.
  15. It has already been answered that there is no rules issue going on. These guys are for sure out there. At my club, there are tons of them. And they really get vocal if it gives them an advantage when money is on the line. I admit that if you aren't playing your best, these comments just add to the fire. But you have to step back, focus on the shot at hand, focus on the pre-shot routine, and this should help you forget about the comments. Then when you execute a good shot from the lie that your opponent stated he would hate to be in, that should shut them up a bit. Unfortunately, at my club anyway, having the shots speak for themselves is really the only way to fight these guys. You could always dish it back out as well. Who knows, they may get rattled very easy. From my experience, many of them do.
  16. Got my Eco Knits and WOW!!! These are so comfortable! Glad I got two pair. Highly recommend them!

I don't keep a lot. The more expensive clubs I have sold when I upgrade. The rest of the clubs I have sitting around are random and I probably couldn't get 20.00 out of them. I just haven't taken the time to sell these. The only thing I have kept that is worth an okay amount are my Mizuno MP32s. I could sell those but I just like having them for some odd reason.
  18. For the best chance at a GIR, I would have to say a 6i, maybe a 5i.
  19. Any idea how the Mevo+ compares to the Full Swing launch monitor? I realize the Full Swing is higher but I got an email about a launch next year for 4k.
  20. The only thing I noticed about the wrist strap is that it dried my skin out really bad right there. I believe it was from sweating during workouts and what not but it dried it out bad. I moved it to the bicep and really never have a clue I am wearing it except when taking my shirt on and off.
  21. I ordered 2 pair of the Eco. They are good looking shoes
  22. Ouch! Haha He had Brady pissed off until he holed out. And Justin Thomas. I hope he is commentating again. He's pretty funny as well
  23. From that distance, I normally use my 58. I can hit low, medium, high with it and it has high bounce so it just works for me and keeps it consistent. If we were talking about closer to the green and chipping, then it all changes.
  24. How do the sizes compare on the ECO knit? I only have the originals, so can I just use the same size as those or the same as my normal tennis shoes??
