  1. I love my nike sasquatch bag. I dont have anything else nike though. I like that the color matches the mizuno theme though, its royal blue and silver. I got a sweet deal on it and it had everyhting i wanted so im good. I still like my old burton Clemson cart bag though too. I never saw the option of matching the bag to your college. after all, they grant me the right to pay thousands of dollars a year to them in tuition. the LEAST i can do is have an orange bag...
  2. I loved the idea that is on the Tiger woods video game series, match play and the winner of the hole removes a club from the other guys bag. Of course the putter is off limits, but its SO MUCH FUN to piss everybody off on that game, guys are teeing off with a 5 iron when the other guy is using a driver
  3. yeah, the inventory sale is once the week of the spring game and another one right around Christmas. But for pants and shorts you should find those downtown or at the Athletic department on 123. Oh! hardly, those clothes are all reserved for former SEC football players....
  4. GO TIGERS!!!! I saw the title of this thread and HAD to get in on it!! haha, clemson student here. The BEST place to find those is the athletic department inventory sale. basically all of that cool nike stuff the AD doesnt need anymore is sold off at ridiculous prices. I know its right around the spring game. I went last year and got one of those nike dri fit coaches polos for like $10. or anywhere in downtown Clemson would be a good place to look. Mr. knickerbocker's would have them if anybody. I got my orange overalls there, and i think a pair of orange shorts too.
  5. Its not neccisarily bad TV work, its just that the networks kinda view it as irresponsible to show that kind of thing. Its not illegal, youre exactly right, but showing any tobacco products is a little "edgy" for today's mainstream media. Think about how many TRUTH adds you see out there now. And this is coming from someone who grew up with a dad who had the Marlboro red windbreaker from being a VALUED customer, and im in the south. Its a personal choice, but think about how many soccer moms you know that would just lay down and cry if thier little baby saw someone doing THAT on TV. Its just the networks dont want to get into that.
  6. I am saved by Grace, and Love everyday of it. Its pretty cool to have found your calling in life and I found mine in the ministry. I am working towards a master in divinity to be a baptist youth minister. I will say this, God is great, but whats amazing about the way He does things is that He makes things very personal. So I absolutley believe that the guys saying that They worship God thier own way are doing great, thats perfect, build a personal relationship with Him, and its the best thing that will ever happen to you. But worshiping with other believers is also a very fullfilling thing, if youve had a bad experience in the past with a church, its not a big surprise. After all, its a group of PEOPLE, and we are a failed group, but gracefully and beautifully enough, we have a Father that loves us like no other :) So my challenge to anybody else out there is to look at one more church, see what happens. If one person actually does that and finds a new church home, God will have amazed me ONCE AGAIN. Oh and everybody needs to read NEW EVIDENCE THAT DEMANDS A VERDICT by Josh McDowell, he was an athiest who set out ot "prove" Christianity wrong, and ended up become one of my favorite authors out there. great book and its a solid read for anybody
  7. I love my F-60 5 wood, i still have an older mizuno 3 wood and it feels good too, but thats another one that id put in that >$130 category
  8. Go try a bunch at a store, THEN head to eBay and find the same thing for half of the sticker price. That's exactly what I did with my oddysey
  9. Love it! Awesome bag, I really had no idea on the stuff I was missing out on until I got it. I love the fact that the "cooler" is accesible while walking. And the fully divided system up top cuts back on dinging up my t-zoids, which aren't in wonderful shape to begin with...
  10. I will say that i go in looking for clubs with a bias and other companies really need to "win me over." and thats just from past experience. I know that I hit mizuno better than other clubs, so when i go looking for new stuff, usually the first place i look is mizuno. now if i hit something better ill go with it, like my driver, i hit my taylormade much better than my old t-zoid driver. but i go in with a different mindset about mizuno, its hard to explain, but i know how theyve performed for me in the past, so they kind of have a leg up i guess
  11. that really does suck about your clubs getting stolen, sorry about that man. i know you said no ebay, but have you thought about somewhere like callaway pre-owned? everything i see about that looks good. I dont have a good answer for your question but thought id throw that out there...
  12. My stuff, replacing a few things here shortly:
  13. i do remember hearing somewhere that South Carolina has more golf courses per square mile than any other state, but i cant remember the source of that. I cant really say much here because ive never played anywhere outside North and South Carolina, but im VERY proud of what my state offers. What I like so much is that you dont HAVE to go to somehwere like Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head to have a great game, Ive got a little beach island that i go to thats only a few square miles big, and it has a GREAT course. add to that that you can go from playing beach course to playing mountain courses in a few hours and i believe we are hard to beat
  14. ^^Exactly my thinking, by the time you fix it, you could have put that towards a new bag. Even if you just got a cheap one for the time being, that would be better than putting more money into an already busted bag
  15. if you wanna feel better about your clubs, ill show you pictures of my t-zoids that are going on ten years old. they look nasty, but still hit fine. i clean them up with dish detergent every week just to keep the shine, but the scars give 'em character
  16. Atlanta Braves New Era on field cap fitted-7.5 size i believe my head isnt shaped for hats though, so unless its just REALLY sunny, ill go bare headed
  17. i just bought an MP-R 60/9* ill tell you how it plays whenever i get it in
  18. i had that same club and ended up changing to the MP-001, little bigger clubface, but both were great clubs
  19. my footjoy contours are great, especially because im more of a fan of traditional saddle shoes. i just need some new cleats for them now, probably going with pulsar
  20. love those clubs, my dad had them before i did and they have a TON of swings on them, but still great. Mine have the s300 shaft but better feel in my mind than my dad's current mp-30's
  21. i do hate it when people dont take care of other peoples stuff, but yes i would absolutley let him know he is in debt one SUMO. i dont think it would affect your performance, but you paid for a non-dented driver and it would still be undented if he hadnt stepped in.
  22. mine and my dads went out today
  23. i use an older nike that has lasted a long time, but next investment will be the Mizuno skintite, nothing but good reviews so far, including this sites home page
  24. hey guys, my name is Grey. I wanted to find a forum that could help me progress with my game, and this one has been just that. Ton of good info here too. I am a business management major/religion minor at Clemson University. Studying to be a youth minister, and its great. I work at Best Buy and have for four years, so if you have home theater questions, let me know ;) About my game, i have a wierd situation there. I started playing when i was about 10 years old and got a fairly decent game going. Until 11th grade, when I had my first of SEVEN (as in one more than six) collapsed lungs. That translated into more than two months total in the hospital and two major reconstructive surgeries on each lung. When i finally started playing again, i had nothing. It was like starting from scratch. I cant even go 9 holes without becoming exhausted. So i am gonna try to start over agian and with the help of this site get back to where i was if not further. I still love the game and will be back to play again. And so far the info on this site has been great! Anyways, just dropping in to say hi, thanks, Grey
