Absolutely seems like that. The only thing that gives me hope is that is a really nice course but their 18 hole prices always beat ever course in my area on Golfnow. Usually $20-$30 year round for 18 holes with a cart. If they can offer quality golf at that much of a discount then maybe they can offer quality instruction at that much of a discount also. I have no idea how they can do it but I'll just have to see for myself. The only reason I don't play there all the time is the course is a little above my skill level at the time being. I know it's not an option, but I think bi-weekly would be good for me. Gives a little time to adjust to the suggested changes. I need to jump on the lesson deal that's going on at a local course. They offer 10 1 hour sessions for $300. Absolute best I can find in my area. Lord knows I need it... lol

It's an old pasture course. Greens are good but the fairways and tee boxes are hard as a rock. I had to find an old tee hole to use every time I teed off. Needless to say, if there is a dress code here, it is not enforced. This is the only course I take my son to at his age. I try to make sure he has a great time. Maybe he'll start playing when he's a little older.

I did. They were really surprised at what was done. They said whoever did it was a pro. They suggested changing my e-mail password. I've had a phone insurance claim with them and I got e-mails throughout the process. I even had to send a photocopy of my drivers license to get the claim approved so I don't know how they did it.

My wireless AT&T account was recently hacked! If you use the same service you may want to look into you account to make sure you are not a victim as well. I found out because I received a text from AT&T stating my insurance replacement phone had shipped and would be arriving today. The thing is I never submitted a claim for a replacement phone. When I called to see what was going on, my pin wouldn't work. They said I changed my pin and added a new user to my account. Someone name Shawna in New Jersey. Also they said that's where the new phone was shipping and my phone was about to be useless if the new phone was activated. They finally straightened everything out and stopped shipment on the phone. Just a heads up if you use AT&T!!

I started playing back in 2009 but then I didn't play it for years. Once they made a mobile app I picked it back up again. I prefer to play on my desktop though. The putting is difficult but I like it because putting in real life is difficult as well. As of now I'm down to a 68 average. The game is much better now that TopGolf owns it. Try it out again. You may like it better now.

Had a terrible round overall but this shot really stood out to me. Hole 16 at Callahan Golf Links. It's a par 4. I started off with a horrible drive. It was straight but way short, I'm sure I topped the ball on the drive. Second shot I'm 190 yards from the pin with a bunker right in front of the green. I can only see the top of the flag because the rise in the fairway between me and the green. I hit a 4 iron and put it on the green in between the bunker and the pin about 15 foot to the hole. The ball hit the green and bounced back about 1 foot and stopped. One of only two pars I made the whole round... Those few good shots keep me coming back lol

Played at Callahan Golf Links in Waleska,Ga today. I was really hoping I would break 100 today! So much for that... Ready? I shot 120. 65 on the front and 55 on the back... I had 2 pars and a lot of really bad holes. If I could just eliminate the really bad holes it would be no problem, but it always happens. That was my 9th round. Maybe I'll break 100 on my 10th round... I did get to see a snake eat a lizard though!

Technically I fall in the millennial generation so you should not be surprised that I expect at least a participation trophy!! lol Just kidding. I had some improvements tonight but it got dark on me.

Okay, I'm not sure this fits the criteria enough to earn the award but I gave it all I have at the moment. (Just started playing about 8 months ago. About 8 rounds total.) I had some good flop shots but way out of range for me to get to and catch. This was a ton of fun and I got way more practice than I would normally. Here it is. Best I could do... And here is what I was dealing with the entire time I was attempting this... Please do more stuff like this! It was a blast and I got some good practice in. Short game is definitely my weakness.

Thanks for the info @Club Rat. I'm just saying it would be nice to have specific state forums so one could follow their state and receive notifications when someone is playing nearby.

I would like to suggest adding a forum with each of the 50 states pinned as sub-forums. That way when members are planning on playing a course. Then they can add the course they're going to play to their corresponding state forum. Then post their tee time and date in the new course thread they created. I'm not sure if I'm using the correct forum terminology but you know what I'm trying to say. lol. Maybe an easy way to gain some local golf friends. If this is already available please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Welcome. I also started playing around the end of last season. It truly is an addicting hobby. So far my favorite local course in North Ga is Callahan golf links. I'm not sure where in Ga you are but if you're around Northwest Ga we should get together and play a round. I've yet to break 100 so you have nothing to worry about lol. Top score so far was 104 at the Elk's lodge in Calhoun. Good luck and enjoy!
