  1. All the Pauite courses are great. Coyote Springs is out in the middle of nowhere but a great course. Reflection Bay was nice also. Primm courses were decent, less costly.
  2. That's not what I said at all. Go back and read it again and don't cherry pick parts. I said I totally get why people would post negative comments on the swing in the original post because it's an open thread about the swing. Dave posted the same thing to Kingfrenzo and I agreed but said IF it was a thread started for devotees of the swing with the idea of trading tips etc on executing said swing I wouldn't jump in to tell them the swing sucks. I'd respectfully not comment and let them enjoy their conversation. I never said everybody should do the same, just that that's what I'd do.
  3. Yikes! Again with the reading comprehension! My original post on this subject has nothing to do with Gary Edwin or the original post at all. In post #39 Kingfrenzo posted that this was a RSS forum and only users of the swing should post. I totally disagree with that as you stated the title of the thread is "RSS Discussion:. That includes good, bad, and ugly about the swing. No problem there. In post #43 Dave PO43 politely stated that that's not how it works and anybody can reply pro and con. Again I totally agree. I simply replied and said however, if a group of 5 Keys guys, (to get it off Edwin who has nothing to do with my original point) were to start a thread to share tips on how to implement the 5 keys in the best way to help their games etc, it would make no sense for me or anyone else to jump in that thread and tell them their swing stinks. They've obviously chosen that swing as their way forward in their golf game and I'd respect that and butt out. I'm sure there's threads on the overall worthiness of the 5 Keys, or the A Swing, or whatever. But once a guy starts a thread on "Tips on the A Swing" and has made up his mind that that's what he wants to follow, I, me personally would stay out of it if I don't like the swing. That's just me. I do like your idea on starting an "A Swing" club for those so inclined. But is that really different then a thread titled "For A swing Users"? Again, my post had NOTHING to do with the original topic. I don't care who trashes the RSS or not. It was a simple comment and my opinion and reading comprehension plays a part in it being misunderstood. Read post #44 again.
  4. Sometimes I think reading comprehension is not very good on the internet. Did you read my first post? I said if someone asks "What do you think of Gary Edwin's swing" then yes by all means criticize it if you feel it has holes. But if a group of Edwin devotees start a thread to discuss their progress and share tips etc I don't think that's the place to tell them their swing stinks. Let them have their thread. They've likely read the pros and cons and have settled on that method as their swing of choice. Your mileage may vary.
  5. We just disagree then. To me it's a matter of respect.
  6. I do think if someone posts "For Gary Edwin Swing Users" or any other swing, for that matter, people who disagree with the swing should respectfully stay out and let the devotees have at it. Why crash the party? Now if I post "what do you think of the RSS?" then have at it and trash it if you like. But if people are looking for like minded individuals to share ideas and tips on a certain swing I see no reason for me to try to ruin that.
  7. I like the guy also. Very engaging. It does seem he got his "Eureka" swing from Bill Owens "Triangulaid Swing". English - Triangulaid Since he discovered Triangulaid in 1991, Bill Owens has only one dream: Give to everybody the ability to play golf quickly and make our Planet the...
  8. Lots of people just want a swing that's fairly consistent and lets them get out and have some fun. Joe Mama looks like an older guy who's not getting any better physically, so if he's happy with his swing good for him.Not everyone is looking to keep improving, in fact I'd say the vast majority aren't. Those of us on a golf forum are the big minority.
  9. How far outside? A little in front, back, directly across?
  10. I've noticed this in his videos also. He needs to get that checked out. Even a couple full out swings shouldn't get you that winded. And in some of the videos he hasn't even swung a club and sounds like that.

  12. Can't speak for the OP of course but I'm hitting low liners that if I was aiming to 2nd base they go to first. And thery go no real distance.
  13. Man, I feel the OP's pain. I'm doing the same thing. I have no idea how many degrees the face is open but I'm hitting the ball almost sideways and not off the hosel. Sometimes I think I'm letting my right hand turn under rather than over and some times it feels like I'm stalling my turn. Probably a combination of both. But you can hit it dead right without hitting the hosel.
  14. Again, if we're talking about just moving over a few feet in the box, I agree. But if we're saying move right in the box and aim well left to accommodate a fade I disagree.
  15. How so? You're going to have to explain that one to me.
  16. I may not understand what we're talking about here. If we're talking about moving a few feet over on the tee and aiming straight down that line then I agree it won't matter much. But I assume when someone talks of moving say to the right side of the tee they're also aiming left to accommodate their fade which does increase the fairway for that player substantially. Same obviously for the draw, set up left, aim right and draw it back, if it stays straight you're on the right edge of the FW or light rough. It's like putting ,if you aim just a few degrees off, at 20 feet your missing by quite a bit.
  17. All depends on your swing, I guess. I play one of those ultra light heads that weigh 170 grams. I put a 45 gram shaft in it with a Winn UL grip at 40 grams.. Total weight about 260 grams. Had to put a ladies flex shaft in it to play at about an R flex due to the light weight of the head. I have no problem hitting this club straight and I picked up some yards.
  18. Same thing happened to me except I did it to myself, no instructor involved. I was an 8 hdcp with a swing where all I thought about was picking my arms up and hitting the ball. Whatever happened after that just happened. I decided to find a "proper" swing and down the rabbit hole I went, Never been better than a 12 since and often much worse and can't go back to just swinging for whatever reason.
  19. I started the year as a12 and I am now a 21. took me 5 rounds to break 100. Some of that was horrible putting, I was over 40 putts my first 3 rounds. Some was the fact I only have time to play once a week and was literally watching youtube videos on the tee looking for something. Bad weather didn't help, it was mostly cold and wet. I was hitting my driver 175 yards yet my 7 iron 145, how is that even possible? I really have no swing right now. I'd take lessons if I knew of someone reliable nearby. I haven't been impressed with some one off lessons I've taken with local guys in the past. Thinking of going the video lesson route. So yes, you're not alone.
  20. It's a superhero movie. All you need to know is a bad guy killed millions of people and some superheroes in the last movie. The remaining heroes look for a way to go back in time and reverse this. You can now watch and enjoy the movie. You certainly won't get everything but you'll know enough to enjoy it. I thought it was meh, OK. I also prefer single superheroes to the ensemble casts, and like the characters that are a little more grounded to earth like Batman, Daredevil, Spiderman.
  21. Did a trip like that a few years ago and it was the best vacation of my life. The cost has really gone up, so I don't know if we'll ever do it again but would love to some day.
  22. I've lurked here occasionally for awhile but just recently have been coming here almost daily. I haven't seen anything but does iacas give video lessons? If not, is there anyone you would recommend?
  23. I agree with this, though I'm no 20 something. I work out for exercise and I play golf for fun. If you see me riding a cart on the course , I've likely done an hour of cardio or weightlifting beforehand. Don't judge people by what you see, you don't know what they did before you see them.
  24. Saw this question on WRX and while it didn't get many responses it made me think, so asking here. I play jumbo 80 gram grips.Wondering if this has any effect on my swing. I bought a couple Winn light jumbo grips I'm going to try.
