Yeah, I probably would’ve said something, but I generally agree with the notion of not escalating something. People are crazy. That dude could just as well shoot you or something. It’s not really worth it, even if physically you feel confident. Your good day could result in a very bad day for you—or your family.

Yep. Don’t forget he also drives recklessly. He drives in the fast lane instead of moving over; he cuts people off; darts around traffic; ride people’s bumper; and otherwise behaves in a manner that endangers the lives of people beyond around him on the road.

Except there was no “strong arm robbery” that took place. Larceny, probably.

Woods are the way to go. Very helpful on those long approach shots. Much easier to get a nice, steep angle of descent and some spin to hold the green (or the area around the green) from farther away. I’ve got driver, 3w, driving iron, 7w, and a hybrid at the longer end of my bag. I used to have a 5w in the bag as well, but I love my driving iron too much; love hitting 50’ or so burners on some shots.

Pretty good way of stating it. 👍

Is the booster a single shot or another two-rounder?
-
I got my second dose in February, so I may be due for the booster next month. My wife got hers slightly earlier than me, so her date is coming up, I think.

We would have to look at the specific instances, documentation provided, etc. instead of just “I’ve read” to make a determination, though.

This is a misunderstanding of the separation of church and state. @Double Mocha Man does a decent job explaining it. Generally, governments do not inquire about the legitimacy or content of religious beliefs. However, governments may inquire as to the sincerity of the beliefs the person purports to hold.

I had a gapr, but didn’t like it. Don’t like the feel or how high it went.

Think carefully about how you spend your time. Time goes by quickly, and you don’t get it back.

He looks like he aged a lot.

I’m sure other athletes, in golf and other sports, have had worse jeers than “let’s go, Brooksy.” Surely BD and some of you guys have been to rivalry games in other sports. A lot worse gets said. Even high school sports get more abrasive than this. Agreed.

I think that’s a fair take. I suppose it hinges on golf being different from other sports, which, granted, it is in many respects, though.

I can’t speak for all camera-based units (as I said, I suppose it depends on the unit), only those I’ve tried and the one own. No problems with mine in the dark with a projector and all that. -
You could say the same thing about any round. A guy could shoot 59 in a regular tour round and it not be enough because it wasn’t on a Sunday. Or maybe it was on a Sunday, but he didn’t win. Or maybe he did win, but it was the Easy Golf Course Open with an easy field. Or maybe it was on a hard golf course, but it wasn’t a major. Or maybe it was at a major, but xyz other reasons. We can sit here all day and come up with caveats, Etc., etc. Just relax and enjoy the golf. 👍

And he didn’t say that either. Dude, calm down. You don’t know the guy. He said nothing ass-holish. It’s a joke; most people go around asking for one-off advice about golf clubs that are very personal (like you have done). The best piece of advice is what he gave because there is no one-size fits all answer. Go try stuff out, and try not to be so defensive and think people are trying to be an asshole to you. People these days are so sensitive, especially in internet/social media spaces. The fact that he said “wait for it” does not evince ass-holery. Rather, it’s an indication that a common response is about to follow (again, see my remark above regarding asking about golf clubs). Or did you not catch that? Instead, you decided to call him a name? That says more about you, dude.

No, not really. Depends on the unit maybe. Same answer. I have no issues other than the fact that foresight tends to exaggerate the carry distance of low spin (anything lower than around 3,000 rpm) shots. -

Rogue Sub-Zero Worth Upgrading?
ncates00 replied to checkerfred's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Meh. That stuff is overrated when you put the human element into it. You’re talking marginal, if any, progress since his club. It’s mostly marketing by the manufacturers, club fitters, and builders. That Rogue Sub Zero driver is a really good driver; I only upgraded because the carbon crown on mine cracked and the whole top came off a long while back. Callaway sent me brand new (at the time) Epic Flash equivalent. I’ve been using it ever since. @checkerfred, to settle it for yourself, take your current driver with you, hit on a good simulator, and compare with other, newer clubs. Some places will let you do it for free. Make sure you swing like you normally would. Also, make sure the fitter doesn’t nothing crazy like add speed/distance boosts, downwind, downhill, or other nonsense to get you to believe your driver is inferior. Remember, these manufacturers, fitters, and club builders have a vested interest in making sure you believe that you need to upgrade because you’re totally missing out on distance, forgiveness/stability, and all that other crap. Truth is, if you’ve been fitted (which you have not) for clubs fairly recently, and you nor your swing has materially changed, then it’s all hogwash. Don’t send me YouTube club reviews or robot-tested data trying to debunk me; again, these folks have vested interests. -

Both of these should be directly measured. Carry, of course, is only directly measured if it’s a Doppler-based system with full range enabled. Thank you for providing your thoughts on the video. -
That was my first impression as well. I was thinking he would likely need to be a 3 or better.

I agree. Which is why I said the same in an earlier post: I was talking about taking a spot that another college kid could’ve received. Especially given that the school is a HBCU, seems like he should let college kids play.
