I have a Ping G10 3 hybrid (21*) that I love. It has a steel shaft and I like it a lot. I feel like I have more control with it.

I'll be having some drinks tonight at my Boss's house. He's having a going away party for someone returning back to our parent company overseas. I'm hoping for the open bar setup.

Quote: This is the issue I had. I would try and overswing instead of just taking a nice and easy normal swing. It's made a huge difference.

I will usually get a small bag / bucket of balls, do that for 10 or 15 min then head to the putting / chipping green. I used to do a full bucket... but seemed like a little too much for me.

Personally, I would go with the cheaper G10's. They are great clubs. I had them (still do) but just got the S57's because I "needed" a new set.

I'm going to give you what I have done. Some will argue it probably isn't the healthiest, but it has worked for me so far. 1. do you have a weight loss competition at work? If so, join it. this really got me started initially 2. switch to diet pop. I tried to cut the pop, but just couldn't do it. If you hate diet pop, start slowly. In my opinion, there are diet drinks out there that taste just as good as regular drinks when your making the change. 3. My goal was to lose more weight during the week than I gained on the weekend. I was really good from Sunday through Thursday (weigh in day) and then I would relax on Friday and Saturday. I didn't always gorge myself, but I didn't think about what I ate. I would then weigh in on a Monday and see how much I needed to work myself during the week to get a lb or two below where I was the Thursday before. 4. I started just walking, which at first I thought was a joke, but then quickly realized it was actually helping. Then I started mixing in jogging with walking, and now am running mostly except on days that my knees hurt too bad (bad knees) To give you some background I'm 26 now. I was 24 or maybe 23 when I started trying to lose weight I weighed around 350lb when I first started and the weight would fall off. Some weeks were around 10 lbs just from walking and watching what I ate. I now weigh around 235lb. I have fallen off the wagon a few times, gained some weight back and then lost it again plus some.. Now I am not saying that this is the way you should do it or that it is technically healthy to do it like this, but this is what I have done and it has worked for me. Some will say that splurging on the weekends is not a healthy way to do it, but being over weight isn't healthy now is it? Good luck with your goals.

Are you still looking for one of these? I may be getting one in a deal that I would probably sell. How much are you looking to pay? Thanks, - Mike.

Hey man, I'm in the same boat. I was around 350 at a couple points in college (I'm 26 now). Commitment is a huge key. I've gone 2 or 3 times in spurts where I'll lose a good amount of weight, then gain some back, then get sick of it again and lose what I gained back plus a little more. It does make it easy to stay on the wagon though when you see weight drop. Not sure if you have the same abilities, but I know when I was over 300 and started working out, i would drop 6lbs a week pretty easily.

I was at DSG the other day and had $10 in rewards $ to spend. Bought a 6pack of the tours for $9.99. Not bad at all if these are good. They also sell a 6pc sample pack. you get 2 of each of their 3 tour version. One for spin, one for distance, and one for slower swing speeds. I'll be anxious to try these out.

It is very easy. I would say the hardest part is getting all of the old tape off. I wouldn't even call it hard, but just a pain sometimes. I'm 1/2 way through my set now and enjoy the time doing it. Just need it to get warmer in the garage.

Got the same bag and Love it!

Hey Guys, I was reading an earlier post about weight loss goals from 2009 so I figured I would start one for 2011. I started a couple of years ago trying to lose weight. I'm about 6'3" and back in 2009 was about 350lbs. Over the past couple of years I had done well in spurts, and then would fall off the wagon, gain a bit back, then get fed up with feeling like crap again and start on my path. I had gotten down to 237lbs a year ago and then fell off again. I had stayed in the 240's until this past holiday season. From Thanksgiving 2010 to New Years, I gained 18 lbs and weighed 260lb on Jan 4th. Currently I'm down to 243lb as of last week. My overall goal is to get rid of the belly and moobs, but as far as an actual number. right now I'm shooting for 216. Thats the "target" weight that I've read on a lot of sites, so thats what I'll shoot for. I'm curious who else on here has a big plan for losing more weight. If you're interested, post your age, height, weight and goal weight and maybe even what exercises you are doing. I've been walking a lot and running when my knees aren't hurting too bad. Overall with eating I try to lose more during the week than I gain on the weekends. Age: 26 Height: 6'3" Weight: 243 (2/4/11) Goal: 216lb.

A few beers during the round does help relax me. Again, it always depends on the day too. If I'm going after work with some buddies, I won't drink, but if it is a saturday or sunday, I'll bring a few and share during a round. Too many though definitely has a bad impact...Once I reach that stage... I start drinking more because I know it is going downhill already.

what is your opinion of animal headcovers?
Ferg replied to bagger05's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I have 2 dogs. One Golden mix and one shepherd mix. I got one that resembles the golden about a year ago. Then I just got one that looks like a shepherd not too long ago. I just got a 3 wood so I can now use the Shepherd cover. I think that animal headcovers is no different than anything else for a head cover. Just personal preference. Plus I enjoy having the pet reminders out there with me while I'm golfing. -

Ogio Grom Ball Silo Question
Ferg replied to Kalipari's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I haven't had any issues with this either. I've only had my bag for about 4 months though. -
I have Ping G10's and had them bent from black dot (standard) to yellow dot (1.5* upright I think). I was warned as well by the guy that did mine. Luckily, there were no issues.
