  1. Eagles, for about four years I've followed them. I just realized back in the day, I don't need to follow the local (Skins) which are 100 miles away. I like the Eagles just as an organization and team, great stadium, oh and my buddies dad has a 30 person box on the 40 yard line!
  2. Right now it's Adam Scott, just a fellow Titleist guy and a great person. But I'll always have Retief is always in the back of my head, he's just quiet never says anything he shouldn't. Just a true professional. PS: I searched, maybe not good enough.
  3. Attractive
  4. I think it would be weird not setting it down, I move my feet a lot but I have to get it grounded.
  5. Four right now but might be three soon TM MB PW (48d) Vokey 200 Series (52d) Vokey Spin Milled (56, 60)
  6. Scotty Cameron, $200. But haven't gotten a price for my 905r yet, inventory guy won't give me a price on it yet!
  7. From Titleist site or 2006 product line book. 10% gain isn't that much. A ball fully struck maybe 2800rpm (just a random figure) that only 280 more rpms? Which is probable.
  8. They will unless they are off the Tour Van, which are made in bulk just for the tour, and assembled on site.
  9. I used to hit what ever really didn't think it mattered. But after trying to hit the V1 and realized it helped out a lot, I spun the ball amazingly with Vokey's compared to DT so/lo or Pinnacles or whatever I found. It felt even better on the greens, so amazingly soft.
  10. At Virginia Tech (Established Engineering school in USA) you can take a two year course on Greenskeeping, Bachelors, and then decide to go to a trade school or what not.
  11. Good stuff, I'm going to have to start reading those!
  12. He also shot a 59, which tied for the lowest 18 hole score in a PGA tour event. Anyways, Q-School or even PAT test is very stress full. One of our club pro's (who was just fired, but wanted to get out of the golf business) shot a 84-92 at his first PAT. He could be pretty good, but under these tests he could've buckled?
  13. I just say try to stick to it. I don't think their is a certain type of person that can and can't work, golf is a game of reactions. Hit it in the rough can you react? If you hit a fade or draw can you make it work? I have a older member of our course, who I play with a lot, he has a short quick tempo swing, with a large pull fade on his driver and a straight fade on his irons. Yet he's 90% of the time in the fairway. He knows what he hits and makes it work. One of my main lessons: If the shot worked don't worry about how it got there. But I'd wait until next season, and stick to some good 8-pointers!
  14. I've never hit any thing but someone at a local club hit a goose, either with a ball or cart, and it fell in the lake or was hit while in the lake. It was flopping around in the water, and all the geese flew away and haven't been back yet.
  15. Usually dimes, I keep 5-10 in my bag.
  16. I started hitting when I was probably 11-12 on the old farm, just swinging as hard as possible. But I've been trying to get better for about a year and a half, and so far shaved about 15-20 strokes off, with out one lesson just pointers from the club pro's.
  17. I wear a lot of mecerized Polo shirts, and some Adidas Climacool's with my clubs logo (work shirts). And usually with pants (Ralph Lauren as well) considering I have, a work rule especially on weekends. But I practice with shorts, Ralph Lauren or Adidas.

Whats the worst the captain/tourney director could say...."No."
  19. Mine shred V1s like no other, right now....but I still love 'em! But to the other topic of oil can or Tour Chrome, supposedly the oil can SM increases spin over Tour Chrome SM by 10%(dry conditions). But the oil can SM increases spin over the regular Tour Chrome by 85%(wet conditions) which is ridiculous!
  20. Definitely!!! I was flipping through and forgot it started this week and I took a double take on that Golf Channel! She just needs to work on the bunker game!
  21. Alright so to the subject at hand, our greens at my course (or job) cost roughly $100k to build, with proper drainage and seeding and all that fun stuff, but your thinking of around 1/3-1/4 that size? Probably $3-5k, without maintenance which my guys mow each green every morning. But you can get away with a day or two. Now my second worry, your climate. Down here one of our local private clubs just changed a 18 of their 36 hole fairways to bent grass instead of bermuda or rye in the winter. I went over there during the renovation to talk to the supervision and he said they might have some trouble in the winter, but they've taken every step to insure nothing severe happens. Now I'm talking about at the most 20 degree nights in the Mid-Atlantic, not below 0's in the north. Because I think that will be your number one problem. Good luck, I'm actually thinking of getting one of these now!
  22. So our local Nike rep came over today and showed me this new Nike Driver, there first innovation was the Nike Sasquatch....bla. Now they have the SQ, or SUMO SQUARED...... This thing has something like 5.2k MOI, which the rep was all about "the higher the MOI the better!" Oh and it sounds like a bazooka!
  23. This is both for full practice day or just before a round: First do acouple of stretches, even a 19....use the cart pull it from the top, with both hands and stretch the back. After that 10-15mins of short putting to get some easy tempo. Next head to the chipping green, hit a bucket of balls small chips and move up to half swings up to 50yds. I stick to the wedges to get the tempo going again. Next up to the practice tees. Starting with the 52degree, hitting 15-25 balls with each club or until it fells right! But the key for me is not to hit one and swing 2 seconds later, I set up to the ball and mess with the swing plane and make sure it's all alright (basically a pre-shot routine on every shot). Once it's hit I do a post-shot routine (just like on the course). Then once it's hit I go back to the putting green and wait for the buddies to show up! Making them think I've been there for 10mins or so!!!
  24. I was working at our sister club when the Nationwide was there (Henrico County Open). And I was following one of my buddies Kip Henley (Big Break II winner) and one of his pairings hit a Clevand Hi-Bore off the deck on the tee box. I mean NO TEE or anything just dropped it and swung away. I can't remember his name but he was averaging 260-275yds or something crazy like that. It was amazing.
  25. I havae no problem with Tiger at all, lovely player and great person. Yet it does get rather redundant, I hope he gets close to the record 11 straight or beats it. But after yesterday I started to pay a little more attention to the Southern Farm Bureau Classic my man Duvall's playing. Oh yeah when Tiger shoots a 59 (Duvall's record) then he can talk to me....just kidding.
