  1. Where in WI are you from?? Where did you play? It'll come around....that's what I say about some of my yips...
  2. Great progress! I'm in the same boat except my chipping is hurting my score. I can drive pretty consistent, Iron play is ok, putting is good.. Last week friday I shot 47 front nine and 56 back nine @ Ironwood GC in WI....chipipng killed my back nine...I'm hoping to break into the low 90s come this Saturday...
  3. Kim Ishikawa Stricker Woods
  4. I use to be the same way...however I did notice in the past I didn't have a preshot routine, so now I just stick to that without much thought and hit the ball...If all hell breaks loose, some cold beer will also do justice :)
  5. 100yds, expectation is within 10-15ft from the flag..I'm not even thinking about putting at that point yet...
  6. chipping....chipping...chipping.. my chipping around the fringe is killing me right now...
  7. I do that on my driver with a close stance, stronger grip and it has definitely improved my slice...I was always to the right of the fairway..with a 'closed' stance my ball is more of a fade and my driving has been improved... Tip I read from David Leadbeeter (Sp??) - close your stance - head and eyes aim right of the target and you'll hit straigther fades then slices...
  8. I play Titleist DTs and Nike Mojo's...two completely different balls but I hit both pretty darn good...Plus the Mojos were free so its even better :) I found a Bridgestone e6 ball on the course and it is a pretty nice ball too, I'm definitely going to buy a dozen and try them out...
  9. I would rock those for sure!! I personally own quite a few Puma shoes as well...Though they are on the skinny side for me since I have wide feet.
  10. I've heard nothing but rave reviews on those drivers from forums to forums...however the loudness of that driver is so obnoxious, I don't think I will ever give it a chance....nice price though..
  11. I'm 5'10 with a 33" oddy and I choke down an inch... Since upgrading to this putter this year, I can definitely tell difference between a great/worthy putter vs. starter set putter...Night and Day!
  12. I would have to agree however I can probably shave 5-10 strokes per 18 if I can chip around the rough/fringe...Yesterday was my first round of the year and my chipping killed me...I would've shot in the 90s if i can chip to save my life....I'll be working on it for sure.
  13. Same as well for me...yesterday was my first time out and felt horribly winded the back 9, particularly the last 4-5 holes...My score was still horrible since I couldn't chip to save my life...but i had a good time...Today at lunch, i'll be working on my chipping...
  14. Just made a change to my initial response... Playing The Island course at Silver Spring CC in Menomonee Falls...I'm in the Milwaukee area...
  15. Awesome...I'll be playing on Thursday..Got the day off! WOOT! Playing Silverspring CC - The Island course...Anyone on here play before I do please let me know how the course condition is? I'm sure its wet and thawing but any information will help!
  16. Nice day in WI so I drove by a local range..sure enough the grass area is open...WOW I've been practicing alot on mats and hitting grass for the first time this year was a challenge...Too many FATS shots that a mat will not show...so many flaws...playing first round on Thursday... I wanted to also say the grass I hit today was not in its greatest form yet...the snow just melted a couple of days ago, so they have not even cured the grass..I was kinda surprise they opened the grass section...
  17. dragonflyin - nice clubs all around....Mizuno's are pretty! :) Rate mine...
  18. I have the 4th one you listed there and actually bought it from the exact same place...You can't beat the price! Plus the 'woode' design is in a class by itself! That alone made my decision fairly easy, not alone the bag is not heavy whatsoever...has all the nice features,etc...you cant go wrong with Ogio..
  19. Weather looks promising....I hope to play by month end! giddy up!
  20. I have played with Walmarts bag of refurbs...They're ok but you can actually find better deals online (Ebay)... I bought 10dozen AAA mixed Titelist balls for $45shipped...About 75% - 80% of the balls are in MINT condition...shanks like myself...Can't go wrong with them...I bought them at knetgolf.com (ebay store)
  21. My .02...I would've never hit a 3i or 4i until my recent Iron upgrade...my 4i Raptures hits really well and long. I can't imagine not having one for those windy brisk days in WI...I only like to carry one hybrid and thats my 3 hybrid...
  22. The best course I've recently played was the Bull at Pinehurst Farms, Sheboygan, Wi. last November...My last outing before winter... Not quite ready yet for Whistling Straits... :) This years Open is coming there so the rates are insane right now...but am planning to attend the event...woot!
  23. ^^^^ I concur with the last sentence....That is one of my goals...
  24. Thanks GlennQNYC for the hookup...Just placed an order for one...I was looking for a big towel and that one fits the bill, matching my bag! Woot!
