My new custom built James Stewart bag arrived some time ago. Time to put it into play soon.

Which golf balls do you use?
bcgolf replied to jcooper5083's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
Played rockflites briefly when started golf. Then got to Bridgestone fitting. Tried their suggestion but couldn't get over the clicky feel. Tried Callaway and Titleist briefly, no real love. Then i got a free sleeve of Srixon AD333 from someone and they felt so good, so soft when putting, chipping, ... that I never looked back. The only ball I have played for years now ! -
I'm currently playing G15 driver, 3wood and hybrid. They did wonders for my game last year. This year they don't seem to like me anymore, allways pushing my ball out to the right or hooking it left. Nevertheless, Ping i20 irons and Tour-S wedges are on my shortlist of new gear this year.

Favorite gloves to use?

Footjoy SciFlex -
Don't have them myself. But wouldn't mind wearing them. They have some nice designs ! About time not everyone is wearing the obligatory navy blue or beige pants.

Isn't this Q-STAR ball roughly the same as the AD333 ? (Albeit with a different name tag and upgraded price)

Should a bag wear out this soon?
bcgolf replied to Elmer's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I have an Ogio Synchro cartbag. And I regret buying it ! What's more, I will never buy Ogio again. It wears really fast ! For me personally, it does not reflect the quality almost everyone attributes to it. -
Yes I have and use the Tour V2. Choose it over it's bigger brothers because it is smaller and lighter. I love it. Nothing bad to say about it. Just get one, can't imagine you will be sorry !

I have two pairs of AQL shoes. They are light. And that's the only good thing I can say about them. For me personally, all the rest about them is sh*t. Since then replaced them with Adidas 360 LTD and Ecco Street Premier. Couldn't be happier. Much less pain in my feet, achilles and so on. Furthermore, I found the AQL shoes to be very unstable when swinging. 360 LTD much more stable, street premier even more stable.

Do you ever delete posts before you finish writing them?
bcgolf replied to jshots's topic in The Grill Room
That happens to me quite often. Reasons for not going through with the post can be that I think some things might offend people, could be misinterpreted, or are not my "right" to comment on as I am a high handicapper. -

Need help finding the right ball. Need help badly
bcgolf replied to marengo's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I'd say, try out the Srixon Soft Feel (green one) and the Srixon Distance (red one) -
Don't let others dictate what you should or shouldn't buy. If a staff bag ticks all the boxes for you for practical reasons, if you like the way they look, by all means get one ! Pretentious ? Snob ? I don't see why ! It's just a golf bag !

I don't think it's looking good for Kubica. Revalidation is one thing, but being a top athlet again like F1 pilots have to be is another thing ! Furthermore "Quick Nick" is not doing too bad in Robert's place either.

May 2011 Golf Digest Ball Review
bcgolf replied to erock9174's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
My current ball: Srixon AD333 Most likely to try now: Srixon Zstar, Titleist ProV1, Nike 20XI Handicap: 18 SS Driver: 105-110 Bought a box of Titleist ProV1 PRACTICE balls last week. Going to try them when I'm feeling confident about my game. Curious about added distance with driver and feel around and on the green. -
After some time and usage, I can confirm that the SciFlex lasts longer, takes more sweat, has less deformation, discoloration wear and tear of the leather as my previous targa tour glove. It seems to stay in its handlike shape better too, even when sweaty and wettish. The targa turned into a formless rag.

Bushnell or Golf Buddy?
bcgolf replied to golfer10's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I choose a laser rangefinder over a gps for several reasons. Versatility, no yearly fees, no loading courses, no hassles with coverage, no yardage creeping, just point and shoot. I choose the Bushnell Tour V2 over the 1600 because it is smaller and lighter. Easier to carry, easier to put away in the bag, easy to again "point and shoot". And I think it is less prone to shaking hands problems due to its lesser magnification than the 1600. In hindsight, I couldn't be happier with the choice I made ! -
Maybe I'm interpreting this the wrong way, but isn't this a bit condescending ?

Big motorsport and F1 fan here ! Two most shocking things about F1. Noise and Braking Performance. Has to be seen, heard en felt in real life !

I read somewhere your SS is 105 mph. The higher compression AD333 should in theory give you more distance than the lower compression softfeel. I agree AD333 indeed has awesome soft feel.

For those who do NOT use Titleist golf balls...
bcgolf replied to Bryan SD2's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
That is not the case with me. I'm not saying I'm backing them up two yards. They do release sometimes, sometimes they are next to the pitchmark, sometimes backed up a foot or maybe two. But never ever seen a 10 yds release on a 100 yds shot. Must add I don't play tour quality greens, so ymmv. -
I tried the e7 and RX after being recommended them on a Bridgestone fitting. Tried them. Didn't like their feeling when putting and chipping.

For those who do NOT use Titleist golf balls...
bcgolf replied to Bryan SD2's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I'll second this. I Play the Srixon AD333 too. I just like how it feels when putting and chipping. And I like the sound off the irons and off the driver as well. -
I've been playing the Taylormade Targa Tour for two years. Very thin, good feeling, and not overly expensive. But lately, I've been having problems with excessive wear (due to grip problem) and sweat on the back of the hand. So after some research I'm now swintching to and testing the Footjoy SciFlex glove. It is supposed to last a bit longer, can take a bit more sweat and still has good feeling. So I'll see how that pans out. First impressions are positive. It is a little bit more expensive, but seems to keep its shape a bit better as the Targa Tours. Time will tell more ...

Funny how some people get on their high horse about someone that watches a little porn, but on the other hand find it absolutely normal to carry a loaded gun. In Europe I think it's more the other way around, not many people making a fuss about porn, but carrying a weapon is prohibitit by law and considered very abnormal behavior. Not that I'm saying one is right and the other one is wrong. Maybe we should just stop judging other people, he who is without sin ... :-)
