  1. I've never had an eagle. I've never shot a round of even par or better. :P
  2. Hackers who ask for your opinion on their golf, and then get pissed off when they don't like the answer.
  3. They vary from sliding by the sides to missing by several inches. I just can't get the reads I used to.
  4. Turning my hands open on the takeaway... Could you explain that a little more? If I'm on the same page with what you're saying, I think that might just be on to something.
  5. I've actually honestly been playing the best golf of my life lately, but the flat-stick has completely abandoned me. Earlier this year my putting was saving my ass, but now I can't seem to sink ANYTHING. I'm using an old crappy Wilson putter that was fitted for me, should I be looking to replace it? Any drills or SOMETHING anyone can offer to get me out of this funk? My putts per green average has risen all the way to 1.85 and it needs some help.
  6. I figure if I don't go in film the second I think about it, I'm going to forget! My outfit is the best part. I look like I belong on the cover of GQ. Head still and arm straight. Noted. Thanks!
  7. Don't everybody talk at once, now! :P
  8. I've played from the whites my whole life... Although I'm a single digit handicap I'm of pretty/very small stature (5'4") and average about 240-260 off the tee... I don't know when it's time for a change.
  9. Please note my sophisticated choice of golf attire.
  10. Yep... I'm one of those many whose swing feels like it looks perfect, then when I get it on tape it makes me want to throw up. Slowed it down a little bit to get a better view.
  11. Golfers who have an excuse for everything. "Oh, I hit it perfect, it just sliced 50 yards right and landed 75 yards short. Wind must have taken it."
  12. I usually play the white men's tees instinctively, but I've never really thought about it... Maybe it's time to start playing the tips...Any advice?
  13. I feel you! The Par 3 around where I live is pretty tough. Small greens and very angular holes. It's a challenge for sure.
  14. I had a similar problem. Right now, I hate my hybrid so much I just want to toss it through a window at "Dick's Sporting Goods."
  15. Well "a few years" doesn't make it easy right there.
  16. I know it just appears to be hitting a little ball with a stick, but seriously, it's getting a tiny ball into a tiny hole using weapons that seemed very ill-designed for the purpose. Every clueless person I've talked to claims it's hard to get "PGA Tour good" but being "decent" is easy, when they've barely picked up a club in their life. Seems like too many non-players think they can pick up a club and be shooting in the nineties. I introduced a friend of mine to the game who was very unpleasantly surprised with how difficult it really was (he had expectations like I stated above), but pleasantly he has stuck with it. (Good for him!) Has anyone else had similar experiences?
  17. Admittedly, I could never date a girl who is a better golfer than I am. I'm not mentally strong enough.
  18. Man, this is touching. I hope one day I can say stuff like this about my girl! (When I find the willpower to last more than a few months with one.)
  19. I'm in your same boat, I have two years left of high school golf and I would like to play college golf too. But my conference is so stacked with great players, I've come to terms with trying to get into the golfing industry instead of concentrating on competitive golf. My first advice would be to avoid cheesy catch phrases from Fort Minor songs like "Remember the Name" and go from there. Good luck! P.S. You haven't given us a name to remember.
  20. You're my hero.
  21. Be grateful the women you know only lie about ONE thing! Hahaha.
  22. I am yet to shoot even par.
  23. Short and to the point. I like your style.
  24. Approach shots, I can check up chip shots well enough where I know what to work on, but I really want to learn how to hone backspin from the fairway.
  25. How about we use African Voodoo and you can transfer your golf talent to me? Then everyone will be happy. :D I agree with the others, find a different hobby that you do enjoy for a time, and see if you get lead back to golf. If not, oh well. Good luck!
