  1. The closest thing in my area is a Dick's
  2. For lag and distance control, Putt towards the fringe, with the goal of nestling right next to it. Great Drill I got from "Putting out of your Mind" That book helped me tremendously.
  3. I use my Iphone about once a week, but I am a target specific practicer meaning I have one goal in mind and spend a whole bucket working on that objective. I don't think I've ever had anyone wander over to offer a tip except for my Pro or his dad that has been a Card Holding Pro since 1966. But guys ask me questions all the time. My general answer is "Well, I just started in March, so I'm pretty much a rookie, But Lynn and his dad are right over there, they'd love to give a quick look or a lesson." They usually just walk away.....
  4. Russel Reserve Bourbon Even though it's a huge bourbon sin, I have to have mine with a little ice...
  5. I stand really wide, get really low, and have a weird grip too...
  6. I'm a musician/band director so tempo comes pretty easy for me. I just think of my backswing as two clicks longer than my downswing. I don't think about too often as it just ingrained but when I do, I think "1-2-swing" I always shake my head at the guys that almost ten second backswings that continue to duff shot after shot. You have no chance to make good contact with a backswing that slow...
  7. The X-22's are just a continuation of the design and tech of the X-series. There may be some slight differences, but I doubt it's anything an amatuer would really notice. They are great, high quality irons either way...
  8. Callaway X series is awesome. You can't go wrong with any club in the series...
  9. I like this thread. I play two different brands and styles in my irons. the PW-9, are titleist players, and the 6-4 are Gigagolf CB's. I have two different brand hybrids, a Nickent and a Callaway, a Nike 4 Wd, and a Nickent Driver and putter. My equipment choices came down to a a few factors Price (the largest), and compatibility with my skill level. I need a new wedge though, and since I'm about to lay down some major cash on a pro level Cornet, I'll probably get a GigaGolf one...
  10. I use a modified version of the claw
  11. you come way over the top, from what I can tell. Look at where the clubface is with the tree's on the backswing compared to the downswing...

    NFL Week 2

    As a Browns fan.....well you're welcome for week 1!!!
  13. Most companies make pretty good hybrids, but Adams are some of the best out there
  14. Even three or four times a day!!!
  15. I'm REALLY having a hard time staying mature and not making a bad joke here......
  16. For all the bitching that Favre endures, he is still an elite top five NFL QB. Sometimes Favre is too aggressive in trying to make things happen, but he has a great desire to win. He will go down as one of the greatest QB's ever and I enjoy watching him play so I can tell my Kids, "yeah I use to watch Brett Favre" I'm hoping my Browns can finish .500 or better this year....
  17. I guess playing expensive balls is the same reasons a lot of guys insist on using a 9* Driver with an x-stiff shaft only to slice it 160 yards into the woods. It makes them feel better that they aren't that good. There are PLENTY of budget balls that give great all around performance for most golfers....
  18. That was taken a few months ago, so yes, and I don't even use those clubs anymore. My biggest swing flaw now is a small flip.
  19. The P3 and the C9 are their newest irons. They had a rush of new clubs in the spring, but I'm not sure of any specific release schedule.
  20. Great post. My pro told me when I was struggling with the long clubs that most people have a hard time hitting a low iron because they are unintentionally over swinging and causing a lot of excess tension. You know the 3 iron is supposed to go far, so you overswing trying to make sure it does. He said to swing it like its and 8 iron and the club will do the work for you.
  21. Not sure but the lofts are probably a few degrees stronger on the Pings. Most older clubs of even ten years ago have loft differences of 2-3 degrees. I play half DCI 990's and have CB's, it's working out really well for me.
  22. I've always found grass to be just fine in tellin you were the impact point is. This is my clubface after two or three shots at the range.
  23. I love the Noodle+ Easy Distance. Just got two more dozen for my Birthday!!
  24. Rolling Rock Miller Lite Corona Billiken Amber Bock Had to cut down on the beer though. Too many calories
