  1. I could not have said that any better. Gray should be shunned by all the players not only this week but afterwards. He would be more suited to report for the National Enquirer.
  2. I was thinking the same thing. Since you would use a 5 iron if the hole was level I would think either a 7 or 8 iron should work. Let us know what happens.
  3. Agreed, it is too bad there is no standardization between manufacturers which would make shaft comparisons a lot easier. Personally I use R flex irons and woods/hybrid but my driver says stiff but in reality seems somewhere between regular and firm.
  4. I must admit to a multiple putter obsession, I have always been this way related to putters which I absolutely love. I have had many putters over the years, I use them, sell them and buy others to replace them. My current arsenal of 13 putters is as follows: Cameron Kombi S (newest addition) Byron Morgan 007X Mystic Pearl Byron Morgan 006 Black Ox Byron Morgan Bombora Proto Machine M2A Converter Yes Dawn Milled Slighter Needle Ping Anser 4 BeCu (oldest putter I own) Heavy Putter B3 Proto TM Monza VT (Japan only issue) TM Monza Corza TM Maranello 8 (Japan only issue) TM Sergio Garcia Limited Edition The only one which has never seen the course is the Sergio model, not worth a lot but is a style of putter which I used for many years. I purchased the Maranello 8 from Japan for on course use. rebby, great pics!! Nobody should have 2 Button Backs, send one to me!!! One of these days I will likely get a Bettinardi, not totally sure which model but at this time the ones that interest me are a little too pricey.
  5. At this time I would go with Rory. It really depends on how AK is after his surgery, are there any post surgery issues?? We will have to wait and see.
  6. Bought 2 gloves yesterday, it was time.
  7. I write down the actual number and use circles and squares for birdies and bogeys.
  8. Nothing wrong with Vokeys, I have owned quite a few and still carry a limited edition 60M made by Bob. I have also owned a lot of Clevelands, still have 52° and 58° gunmetal DSG wedges as my backups. Currently I am using the MP T-10s by Mizuno, also fine wedges. There really is no "best", it comes down to what works for you and what you prefer.
  9. I need a glove, I am one of those guys who has sweaty hands during the hot and humid days, I find the glove helps.
  10. I don't, usually too busy looking for my own golf ball.
  11. That is the way to do it, enjoy the walk the rest of the time.
  12. Ditto, if you put a good stroke on the ball it can behave eratically due to aeration holes.
  13. Posssible but not likely. City have always been the 2nd class team in Manchester. United is still the #1 team in that city.
  14. Very good!! Way too many blatant fouls in the final game, I wanted the Dutch to win this one but Spain played better, they have the ability to shut down a pretty powerful offensive team. I guess I have to wait another 4 years to see a better outcome.
  15. I have not carried a 3 iron for several years, replaced by hybrid(s). I do own a 4 iron currently with my MX-200s but it does not come out to play often, most times it is not in the bag. The 4 iron gets to play on courses which I have played previously, tight, very unforgiving places where I know it has its' uses. I find a 22° or 24° hybrid more useful for my abilities.
  16. If you like them then go ahead, the difference in feel is worth it IMO. If the shafts in the 200s work for you I see no reason for you not to proceed. I have the 200s, not the first set of Mizunos for me though, I love the feel, playability and looks. The stock shafts were not a good fit for me so I upgraded to KBS Tour, smooth feeling with a nice trajectory.
  17. I tried one a couple of days ago, while I like the white color I am not a fan of that particular model.
  18. I use irons covers on my irons when transporting the bag to and from the course. I take them off at the course, you will get some bag chatter marks when carrying or riding in a golf cart but you will also get them simply by using your clubs on the course.

    Slope

Here is a site with lots of info about handicapping, course rating, slope etc.
  20. Hard to answer that, it really comes down to your current ballfilight.
  21. I like them also, some provide a greater adjustment than others. My ZL driver only has 3 adjustments, I tried all 3 of them and settled on the open setting, doubtful I will change that. I have used others over the past few years ( ), again I liked to ability to change the weights around to arrive at a set up which worked for me.
  22. Mine is self explanatory, love the brand, I finally got back to a set of irons that I really enjoy.
  23. Reverse overlap grip for me.
  24. I do the same thing, much safer when they are in the house.
  25. I have been using TaylorMade drivers exclusively for the last 4-5 years, this year I went on a hunt for something else. I tried several drivers including the FT-iZ, Diablo Edge Tour, Ping G15 and I15, Cleveland DST and the Cobra ZL. For me, the ZL was the best fit, launch angle and direction were great, the sound is much better than in past years. I have never been a fan of Cobra drivers until now.
