  1. I always play with two extra balls in my right pocket. It started from when I was little, my dad would have me carry extras in case I lost one to water or something, I could just drop out there and hit again (I know, not the rules, but I was a kid) and now I feel weird playing without the extras in my pocket. I even have to have them in there on the range. I once, out of habit, hit a range ball, reached into my pocket, teed up one of my balls and let her rip, and then did it again. I was not a happy camper when I got to the first tee and realized what I had done.
  2. Starting it on Monday. Can't wait. I'll let yall know how it goes.

  4. I also use the 10 finger grip.. That's probably my weirdest thing too
  5. Forward distance 1 yard. I hit a duck hook off a handrail on the side of the tee box, ricocheted off the rail, straight across the teebox, into the parking lot, off a f-250's tire, into the air and into the bed of the truck. No lie. The craziest shot I have ever seen in my life.
  6. I've been interviewed by Jeff Kriet (runner up at Bassmaster Classic) and sat and talked fishing with him for about 15 minutes. That was about as cool to me as meeting a pro athlete.
  7. It would remove the problem of hitting it fat off a mat and not realizing it.
  8. Read the review on the blog part of this site about the Penta.. Its supposed to be pretty good
  9. You always hear how difficult it is. But how hard is it really? What would you rate its difficulty on a scale of 1-100, 100 being hardest. 90? Higher?
  10. I was about to say. A 6 iron 240? I'm teeing off with that every single time.

    Go Cowboys

Football season is about to start in less than 10 minutes. I can not wait. Its going to be fun watching TO against his former team. Predictions on who will win it all this year? I gotta go for my Cowboys, and Longhorns on the college side of things.
  12. Golf Digest or Golf.com had an article about him a few months ago. He has a stretching routine that is insane. I need to start stretching more
  13. Sure enough, Would be helpful if I could read huh?
  14. If you did that, you would just be moving the water from the 3 to the 5 and back to the 3. You fill up the 3 gallon container and pour the 3 gallons into the 5 gallon container. You fill the 3 gallon container back up, and pour it into the 5 gallon container again, but only using 2 gallons to fill it. You empty the 5 gallon container and pour the 1 gallon left in the 3 gallon container into the five gallon container. Then you fill the 3 gallon container back up and pour it into the 5 gallon container and you have 4 gallons.
  15. Heck, the average person would burn around 300 calories sitting in the clubhouse for the amount of time to play a round.
  16. Haha I agree, just giving ya a hard time.
  17. Hey now... I am on a competetive college fishing team, please don't send the drunk idots to our sport either! haha
  18. Holy crap. The site says the average length of the course depending on the route is 2.5 miles.. and he shot a 9. Thats an average of 550 yards a shot and 1 putt.
  19. I tend to pull my irons 10-15 yards straight left of where I am aiming. Could this come from a set of irons that are not properly fitted for me. As in, my irons are standard lie, and I need 1 or 2 degrees up? Because wouldn't that be like hitting off of a sidehill lie? I know there are a million things it could come from, it just seems to happen when I hit the ball pure and feel like it was a really good shot. Just thinking of other ideas.
  20. Heck, you are fine hitting it 250. On even a 450 yard par 4 that leaves you a soft 5 iron into the green.
  21. Well there ya go. I feel a little slow now haha Thanks for the info
  22. Gotcha, thanks!
  23. I play the Copper Eye 2s. They are pretty forgiving, but like someone mentioned, I find they are about 1 - 1 1/2 clubs shorter than when I hit my dad's X-18s. Also, I can't hit the 5-3 iron as well as with the modern clubs, but I am not great at this game obviously. When you hit them pure though, it is a greeeaaat feeling club.
  24. I have been reading about people getting fit for clubs. I know it helps, but how much so? I looked up how to take the measurements and had a friend help and plugged them into a fitting system on the internet. How accurate would you figure these to be. They say I would need clubs 1/4 inch long and 1 degree upright. How much is this going to affect me if I bought and played stock clubs? I searched first, I know fitting gets talked about a lot but I couldn't find the exact answer I'm looking for. Thanks
  25. I have 2 buddies I play with who are not that good at golf. They don't know all the rules, and if I made them follow them I would look like a jerk, and they wouldn't enjoy the game. They don't count OB strokes and if a ball is buried or something they will move it. If I am playing with them, I will play the same way they are. I know it isn't a real score and "I'm only cheating myself", but if we all have fun, its cool with me. That's what it is all about anyway right?
