nice swing.. work on the body turn = more distance.. how many knuckles can you see on your left hand at driver address??
-
rotate your top hand anticlockwise 10 deg. its too strong a position work on hitting the ball with body turn, not your arms....

How stiff do x100 play?
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to Chicago Lefty's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
i have a simular clubhead speed to you and found the x100 too stiff. Mainly because not every shot is full throttle. is use S300u now.. -
How long do grips last?
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to wrx_junki's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
here Down under where off season is because its too hot, the grips go hard from sunscreen. my driver grip only lasts about 8-10 months, - must be the huge amounts of torque i place on the grip!! haha -
changing your grip will assist fixing your pivot how?[/QUOTE] Rotate your top hand 10 degclockwise and try and hit a ball!! it limits your flexability down your Left hand side
-
Rotate your top hand 10 degrees anticlockwise. to answer your question "is the swing around or up and down", i would consider the fundamentals of the swing to be mostly "around", i.e around the spine. very good swing by the way.

finish the ball 2 feet past the hole, if you miss, miss to the "professional side"

100 yards in - which club to use?
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to very handicap's topic in Golf Talk
i use 52 deg. nothing worse than landing a 57 deg next to the pin and the ball backspins off the front of the green coming to rest on the fringe.. -
Side hill lies - Help
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to russtyputter's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
ball below feet for Right Hander: a) its going to cut / slice, so take an extra club, or 2 or 3!! b) aim left and pick a target and commit to the altered target. this may be 40 meters left of the green in some cases.. don't underestimate the slice c) take an extra 1/2 inch up the shaft on the grip d) close clubface very slightly to combat the cut sidespin... e) balance is important, as clean ballstriking is a must....take extra club and 7/8th of a swing... f) the shorter / cleaner the grass, the more slice will be generated. when your playing that hole and no one is around, drop 20 balls and get it right!!! -
good swing buddy for 15 hcap. have you being playing golf long? on your first drives x 3, your balance could do with a little bit of work . a) imagine your sitting on the edge of a bar stool and try hitting drives again. Think about what position you want to finish in and finish there. b) your short irons show your body swaying back with the club going back, work on pivoting (rotating) back, not swaying back. with a swing like that and 15 HCP, maybe you need to consider your course managment skills??? i.e. plot your round around, not so much attack...stay outta trouble...??? just a thought....

neutral to me is: 1.5 Knuckles visible in the set up on the top hand, + a tee perpendicular with clubface wedged inbetween my thumb and index finger on the bottom hand. Interlocked grip.

The Dreaded Hook and What to do About it!
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to Tom's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
i had the same problem and figured it out the same way!... looking at Hogan on you tube. there is a clip in there which shows Tiger V Hogan By gary Player - the penny really dropped for me when i saw that.. i used to Hook, long and low with a nasty tail at the end. Now, whenever i have problems, i always mimmick Hogans hinge @ the top and bingo!, dead straight with very slight draw.. i think the hinge works because; - when you play a forehand in tennis, you hinge your wrist upwards before the pivot to generate power. whewn you don't hinge, = less power and more variable result with the tennis forehand. Golf is the same... This really is the best kept secret in golf.. -
when i am playing with B and C grade golfers and things aren't going my way, like a bogie or even 2 bogies in a row, i will fore-go the Honour at the tee box and concentrate on placement in the fairway of that next tee shot..
-
for me the standout flaw is the top hand on the grip, it needs to be rotated anticlockwise alot more in the set up.. changing this will help all the other aspects which others have pointed out, especically the outside / in swing pattern, also, changing the grip will assist fixing your pivot
-
most guys i see that shoot 90 - 94 have too many triple bogies from wayward tee shots, plan your course management BEFORE you play the round and STICK TO IT! (i.e don't go for driver if the original plan was to stay in play with 3 W ), GOLDEN RULE: keep it in play, keep it in play, keep it in play... = course management - minus ego

Steady Head During Golf Swing
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to Kalipari's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
agree. a very good female golfer told me when i was 8 years old to imagine my chin almost glued to my upper chest, but still allow shoulder turn.. -

you are not understanding me. Yes turn shoulders around spine.... -
i think you have the potential to be a single figure handicapper. you should have stiff shafts too if you don't already - many beginners get given Regular shafts by default Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but your right hand is very weak ( to check stick a tee inbetween you thumb and index finger on your right hand and the tee should be perpendicular with the clubface at setup.) stand a tad further away from the ball and imagine your sitting on a bar stool, and most importantly, work on the pivot, don't hit with arms, use your hip and shoulder turn to hit the ball. This will also flatten out your swing plane slightly which would be an improvement also..
-
nice swing. work on pivot and 1 - piece takeaway particularly on PW. agree with wider stance + imagine your sitting on a bar stool during your swing and be more aggressive. Question: how far are you off the tee with driver?, there looks to be room for distance gained with improved pivot

Jumbo or larger putter grips who uses them??
Shooter McGreenkeeper replied to SandSpanker's topic in Golf Talk
love them. they take the tension out of your hands and wrist tendons and relocate the load to the forearms and bicep muscles. i have noticed an improvement in my 8-12 foot putts.. -
he also has a very weak RH grip to probably get the overswing.. i wonder what the best long distance ball is?
-
pffft. harden up! happens to me on a daily basis!!. i am Surprised how many hit up on me when i am in the bunker on the TORO SAND PRO (3 wheeler motorbike sand rake) . should the ball enter the bunker i am in, i run over it and bury it with the front wheel..
