Congratulations, must have been a rush.

Bridgestone e6+ works well for my game; inexpensive & you can really tear into one and bust it loong and straight down the fairway. Buttery soft feel off the irons and around the green ; yet durable enough to last a full 18 without getting scuffed. so long as you don't hit solid oak on a wayward shot. Great ball. My favorite balls to play however are the Callaway HX Tour and Pro v1. Very durable; spin like a dradle, can't beat the feel and distance. Just wish they weren't so darn expensive.

My game wasn't completely on today, I lipped quite a few makeable par putts; managed to put up an 85 (41/44). Blew up on the 2nd hole and took a 9, but started making pars down the stretch and sunk a 15 footer from just off the green for eagle on the 7th. 1 eagle, 6 pars, 6 bogies, 2 doubles, one +5

If you are a member at the course, I see no problem in playing some of the holes twice. That is what practice rounds are for, practice. If you are not a member, the course management might look upon that as you taking advantage of them.

Dear 'that golfer', You always seem to find your place directly behind me on the golf course, driving in your cart, when you could clearly use the excercise and walk the course like I am. Whether I tee off at 7am or 5pm, you show up like clock-work on the tee behind me when I am half-way down the fairway. I am here on the course to play a relaxing round of golf, while still maintaining a fair pace; not to hurry down the fairway and rush my shots to see how fast I can play. I am not a professional, nor do you look like you can hit the ball better than I; but somehow, you always seem to keep that 'awkward distance', where you are too far behind to play through, yet close enough to keep pressure on me. I wish I could just forget about you back there, but it is always in my mind. Yet again, you end up making me wait at a tee to allow you to play through. As I swallow my pride and mutter out those 5 words, 'Why don't you go ahead', I expect you to hit the ball like Tiger Woods, the way you've kept up the pace with me the whole round, yet, you shank your tee shot to the right, and continue chunking your way up the fairway. Almost as if your round has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. This is a common occurance, and all I ask of you, 'that golfer', is to let me enjoy my round without feeling rushed.

Only had a chance to play 9 today. Managed to shoot a 40 in the wind and light rain. 1 birdie, 5 pars, bogey, double, triple.

I like to watch videos of Charles Barkley playing golf..and strive to emulate his perfect swing.

2nd shot on a par 4, 150yds out, played a little draw with my 9 iron that somehow weaved its way through trees and ended up about 3 feet away from the cup. Nice little birdie putt.

Slamming his club on the ground after wayward tee shots, whipping his bag with the shaft of his club, that backwards-type fast swing he does when he hits a poor shot; Woods' actions disgust me. Not only this year at the Open, but numerous tournaments in which I have watched him compete. And this guy is supposed to be a positive role model? Negro please. He may be the top ranked player in the world, but he has one of the worst attitudes i've seen on the golf course. Very poor sportsmanship on his behalf. As for Tom Watson, I really feel sad for the fellow. Such an unfortunate ending to such a historic run. With a chance to grasp the victory on the tips of his fingers, watching him bogey the 18th, followed by him game slowly unfurling in the playoff holes was too painful to watch. I really would have liked to see him take the Jug one more time. However it does not take away from the glory that a 59 year old can still contend to win a Major Championship. A truly amazing performance by Tom Watson. I must give props to Stewart Cink for achieving his first Major Championship victory, though.

Shot an 80 today (42-front/38-back). Total of 1 birdie, 9 pars, 5 bogies, 3 doubles. Total of 25 putts, hit 8/14 fairways, 3/18 greens. Yeahh I don't know why I even keep these stats.

Your favorite -- or least favorite -- golf clichés

Fortunately, I never have to mark my coin while on the greens.

I was kidding...relax. Of course it counts. -

I would say it definitely counts! Congratulations! (Of course, we need Erik's ruling first, though.) -
Sergio definitely deserved to win this tournament. Harrington, you bastard.

Shot an 83 today (43-front/40-back). I'm happy with it. Pulled my drive directly behind this tree on the 12th today; which was directly in line with the green. (The green you see in the way back on the right isn't the green I had to hit to.) Nice lie, eh?

If you're serious, the numbers on the ball help indicate which ball is yours. (If your playing partners are playing the same ball as you) But if you're not serious, I suppose the joke is on me now.

With a 2.4 handicap? All of us would love to be in that kind of slump.

Shot an 85 today (42-front/43-back) at Stonebridge Golf & Country Club. Head broke off my 7-iron upon contact of my 2nd shot on the 11th hole, and flew about 25 yards. The ball ended up about 12 feet from the pin, so that eased my pain a little.

How do yall mark your balls on the green?
SergioFan23 replied to fairwaysngreens's topic in Golf Talk
2006 Masters ball marker from Augusta. -
The point of confronting the guy is to hopefully prevent future occurances of littering while he is on the golf course.

I can't stand this either. Same goes to the people who just plain spit on the greens.

I was playing with a buddy of mine, and we were on the tee of the 3rd hole, a par 3. I was first to hit; a reasonably good shot about 20-25 ft. away from the cup. The 3rd hole runs parallel with the 2nd, with only about 2 trees separating each fairway. By the time I had hit, the cart behind us was riding up the side of the 2nd fairway towards the 2nd green. My buddy swaggers to the tee and absolutely SHANKS one right in their direction. With the ball traveling faster than the speed of light, we both yell fore at the top of our lungs. Both guys in the cart duck down for their lives as we watch it hit one of the vertical bars on the side of their windshield, caroming even farther off into the 2nd fairway. Although it didn't happen to me, I was still pretty embarrassed.

Shot an 82 on Tuesday. 37 on the front, 45 on the back. Shot of the day: Crisp 8 iron tee shot on the 148 yard 17th, tracking right at the pin. Ended up about 6 feet away.

Which well-struck golf shot gives you the most joy?

A nice, crisp greenside bunker shot than lands and checks close. Orgasmic.
